Thread: Buff Group's
Message Edited by ArgentWulf on 05-18-2004 06:31 PM
I actually did this for the first time this past weekend. I don't think I ever had more than 3 people getting buffed. However, I was still able to do more buffs, make more money, and make the clients happier by having no wait time than if I hadn't done this. I will probably do it again.
The only difference is I always keep track of the time myself. It adds a little bit of personalization and a little nuance that I am actually "taking care" of the customer. I find it a little too "cold" toput everything directly on them. Besides, a lot of customers still need explanations of how buffing works, and apologies because they don't always take, etc. So when I did this, I found I really didn't have time to chit chat with friends or anything because I was too busy timing and talking to the customers. I think it's a happy medium between being a "buff bot" and doing the 10 minute individual buff. I think overall everyone liked both the attention and the speedy time frame. ![]()
/alias buffstart /invite;/ttell Make sure you are watching me and join my group for your buff. I'll let you know when you're done.;/pause 600;/g Your buff is done,
Then lets say someone named "Luke" comes in asking for a buff. (His guild is doing a big raid on a large imperial base in the new space expansion, so he needs all the mind he can get) Once he pays, you just target him and type /buffstart Luke and you will invite him, tell him what to do, and then in 10 minutes, say to the group "Your buff is done, Luke". You can of course adjust the pauses and messages to your liking, provided the only time you say their name is at the END of the message saying their buff is done.
