Thread: Question about buffs...
Yes we double the mind pool. if someone comes to us and has 400 mind he gets a +400 buff... if someone has 1300 (Mon Cals) he gets a 1300 buff...
Sounds unfair compared that a Doc can buff +2400 no matter if you have 400 health or 1100...
And yes there are clothes that make your buff be more effective... like the Leotard from the Jabba Themepart. Gives you 5% bonus, so with Master Dancer you buff +105% thats enormous 50 more for someone with 1000 mind (+1050 instead of 1000)... And have you ever seen the prices +Dancer Mind Enhance Clothing attachments are sold? Then you know why almost noone has more than +5 (through the leotard)
Musicians work exactly the same, 100% at master and upto a maximum of 125% with mind enhancement skill tapes.
Dancing Mind Enhancement skill tapes are somewhat uncommon but I've managed to make an outfit that gives me +21 so far, and thats without the leotard. So when I buff someone with mind of 1000 then end up with 2210 after the buff. Oh and incase anyone is interested I've spent about 1.5M on these skill tapes so far.
Yeah, the skill tape pricesare outlandish . . . and once you reach master the increased wound healing ones are useless (they pretty much are anyway as, from what I understand, the patron isn't even aware that they got healed sooner than they would have otherwise). Mind enhancement tapes are rare and very expensive -for a single plus factor at that! Even the price for the tapes on my guildmates' vendors place them well beyond their usefullness for this little dancer. If the return for the creditdoesn't justify the cost, then its just not viable for me.
Now, if chefs could create food or drink that would increase the mind enhancement capabilites . . . . ![]()
I'd say the price problem is mainly because of guilds and PA's. I'd say it's rare for a dancer to go out and buy these things, the only reason I can is because of my tailoring business, however guilds will gladly pay the relatively small cost so they can slightly better mind buffs, on demand, for their PvP outings.
If only the stackable/reusable skill tapes idea from a recent Tailor forum post was implemented then the overallprice of tapes would drop to something a bit more managable.
