Thread: Dance Level and Ent Healing

I started out as a Dancer and a Scout, with plans of being a ranger, due to my preference for combat dancing over being in a cantina. Well the time time has come where I've found I need to revoke my Novice Dancer title (with much disappointment)for needed skill points.

Figuring that under Novice Dancer, back down into Novice Entertainers skill tree, I assumed that Dancing Skill and Entertaiment Healing skill trees were "separate" in that your level in the dancing tree determines the type of eyecandy dance you do and EXP gained for a particular dance style. That your level in ENT Healing was the AMOUNT of healing (higher as you moved up in it) you did when dance and EXP in that is gained towards that tree.

So, when I needed to discard some points to put into Ranger, I figured I would just get rid of the eyecandy dances and keep the ENT HEALING line up to lvl 4. Out in battle no one really seemed to care if I was doing Formal or Basic.

Lo and behold...in my house last night healing a friend, I find that the healing is basically at the level of a newbie novice entertainer. Sure, no fancy dances and back to the lower level XP for the dance, but the healing? It's no different than if I didn't have the ENT HEALING 4 at all, in fact, I will probably scrape that whole tree since it's making no difference whatsoever.

I always gained Dancing experience faster than the Healing tree experience so I didn't really notice and had assumed that while they were USED together, they were indeed separate things and not directly related, or AT BEST made a very slight difference.

Is this so? Has anyone else seen this? It seems rather silly to have the skill tree full if it's not really doing anything.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the amount of ENT healing XP you get is based on the person you are healing and how much they need healed. If their mind wounds and BF are only at about 30, then the ENT Xp will be lower.

The more ENT healing boxes you have, the faster you are able to heal them.

try healing someone who practically has a full bar of black mind wounds. You will see your ENt XP skyrocket.

Will do, I'll make sure of it before considering losing it. Sounds like a rather reasonable explanation. Here's hoping! Thanks for your reply.

I heard some entertainers say that flourishes will heal them faster.

Not sure how true this is though. I may just be spouting off some ridiculous rhetoric.

But if it's true, maybe you weren't flourishing as much during that one time.

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

Nope, I was flourishing my heart out. And I'm not so sure the amount of wound or BF is going to make a diff either now that I think about it. I used to be doing "approx" (when I paid attention one day) 10ish BF per tick now I'm doing 1-3 per tick and it would never matter it seemed how much they had before. Same amount of ENT healing as before, just now I have basic and rhythmic novice Ent dances.
