Thread: Advice from any dancer/pistoleers!
What are good stat migrations for such a profesion. My character is aTwilek, dancer/working on pistoleer (right now working on getting pistol specialist.
Is master Pistoleer a good profesion and how does dancer improve, if so, in any way my pistoleer.
What are the advantages of higher rank?
As someone who's also doing both, my recommendation would be to leave your stats as they are if your action and mind are fairly high. The pistol specialty shots (Health, Body, Melee) drain your action and mind very fast, so it's important to keep those as high as possible.
I don't plan on going to master pistoleer, as I won't have enough points for that and I'm going for master ranger. I'm only going for a couple more specialty shots and pistol whip. Can't say I noticed that my dancer skills have directly affected my pistoleer skills, though the hunting parties I've joined in on are very appreciative of a Dancing Pistoleer Ranger ![]()
I like pistoleer as a fighter skill because you don't have to worry nearly as much about positioning when fighting. The downside is you are going to get hit alot more as a pistoleer than as a carbine or rifle spec. As a master dancer you gain defensive skills vs range and melee so being a dancer can assist you in your fighting. There are no bonus's towards dancing when you master a combat class however.
When my Twi'lek dancer started fighting on a more regular basis I mitigated someaway from action and into health. If you are going to be actively dancing do not mitigate away from stamina or quicknessas these two stats are important to be able to continue dancing for long term. I believe I mitigatedaction down from 1200 to 1000 and put 150 of that into health and 25 each to constitution and strength.
I'm not real big on any of the fighter classes so I can't say what's the best way to go the highest any of my characters have in fighting is novice pistoleer, which is as far as I'm taking my architect (I'll have to drop it at some point) but that gives the 2nd bleed and makes fights against yellows and ocassional low reds a good possibility, based on my ability to burst run and kite for a bit.
Since both dancer and pistoleer primarily use the green, I would max out all three green stats. After that, it really is based on your fighting style.
Do you constantly get incap because you don't have enough health? Increase health.
Does it always seem like your sitting down waiting for your mind pool to come back? Increase willpower (mind regeneration).
Etc... do it gradually based on your fighting.
As for the reb/imp ranks. Their only real benefit is to increase the maximum amount of faction you can have. (which is needed if you want to buy an AT-ST or something).

Yes... But it is only +7 defense. Do not think you will become the uber pistoleer because you are a dancer. ![]()
