Seriously, I HATE the dancers that wear Revealing Fleshwraps and Exotice Leotards. Its so slutty looking and just terrible. Those girls should be on the street corner and not in a cantina. I refuse to watch them and don't give them any respect. Is that wrong of me or what?

well, I'm not a judgemental person, but your question asks for a judgement of somesort, so here's my opinion, with no offense meant in anyway.

here goes:

Okay, I think it's wrong to hate someone or call them a whore based entirely on what they dress in. It's all in how they interact with customers and portray themselves. Most that I see that are wearing fleshwraps or whatever are not acting like whores or sluts in anyway. The only ones that I would call whores or even close to that (I would never use that strong of language when referring to ANYONE), would be the ones that wear different clothing, and all the time say out that if they get tips, they'll wear this and that, or take off this piece of clothing if tips are given... for example, I saw a dancer in Coronet once that did a "stripshow" going through a number of outfits, and finally ending up in a cloak (which makes it look like you're topless) and then an infiltration suit which if matched to skintone can look almost nude... that I think is in poor taste and makes dancers look bad, and would qualify to be called a whore, if anyone did at all (which I don't think they do, unless they advertise some sort of cyber session somehow connected to the dancing)

at any rate, that's my take on it, again, just giving you a judgement of a sort since that is what you're asking for.

THat's the other outfit I was missing, the Infiltrator outfits that match the skin tone. That has got to be the worst outfit ever. Seriously, any dancer that wears one like that should be ashamed of themselves.

You "HATE" someone because of the clothes they wear? Holy crap. That's so shallow I'm not getting the top of my pinky toe wet.

Erm... Justin, have you even SEEN "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi"??? The dancers' outfits in the game are based on those in that movie. If you think we're whores for dressing up in such revealing clothes, not only do you have serious problems in terms of your reactionaryattitude to nudity, but you also show a marked ignorance regarding the movies from which this game gets its inspiration.

Nudity, as the world's great artists would tell you, does not equate to a lack of morality, sexual deviance, or evil. The same applies to semi-nudity. When people enter their showers to get washed, they don't leave their morality outside the shower stall, nor do theycommune with the Evil One while soaping themselves down. Bathing (apursuit we all - hopefully - engage in) is nota sinful act, nor is any state of undress. That you seem to think the nude body is shamefulis reason for serious concern. This is the 21st Century, not the 13th.

If you still insist on having a problem with the game's dress code, I suggest you contact George Lucas and seek tohave him digitallyalterhis movie to suit your mediaeval tastes. He has the technology to do it. If he does that, then maybe the dancing costumes in the game would be altered to suit.

Is is wrong OF you to hate the "whore dancers"? Well, duh. See, a slutty girl is a girl who would ACTUALLY have sex without the constraints of a relationship to define the intimacy she is expressing. In the end, they were cardigans and 3/4length skirts far more often than "slutty" clothes. A tiger ain't a tiger just because it's got stripes, otherwise we'd hear a lot more about rampaging zebra attacks. BEHAVIOUR is either appropriate or inappropriate, not clothes.

Which is besides the point, because were I to decide to go out to a club tonight, I would not be going in the jogging suit I am wearing now. When I go to my meeting with my partner next week, I won't be wearing my little black dress. When I attend a wedding, I will even occassionally shell out for a dress and throw some makeup on, instead of just dropping by in my jeans and a t-shirt. Call me quirky that way. Have you ever gone swimming? Did you wear a bathing suit? If you did, all but your genitals were hanging out for all to see. Did you not consider the implications of this? What it said about your character, your morality, your exhibitionism? Didn't you consider that your blatant disregard for propriety and the emotional reactions of others to your gross oversexualization made everyone who saw you that day both disgusted and uncomfortable? I mean christ - there might have even been children present!

DUH. No. You were wearing clothing appropriate to the activity at hand. Not to worry, though - in a couple of years, a lot of things will change for you, which will very drastically effect your point of view on such things. Once you are no longer inconvenienced by a fruitless excitation of the senses caused by the opposite sex, once there is actually a goal and a release to those reactions, you tend to stop feeling so bitter and resentful of their supposed complicity in your pain.

If you can generate such strong feelings about how someone chooses to dress their avatar in a game to say you hate them, perhaps you have issues that can only be addressed by professional help outside of this forum.

Good grief, if I got judged by what I wear whenever I wear it, I'd begoing straight to the really hot place right about now.

This is a GAME!

Treat it as such. Star Wars is NOT G-rated, it is PG.

So get a life. You need to talk to your parents if you need to be guided through the cantinas with your blindfold on to avoid seeing all that naked indecentexposed flesh.

(oh, by the way, wookies are naked)

Hmmm...

I don't know, Is it wrong for me to hate a troll like you for being a creature handler? After all, you steal wild animals and force them to fight for you...that is cruelty to animals, and Goddess knows I hate people who are cruel to animals.

And...the only creature handler you saw in the Star Wars movies was a cruel, evil, fat, stupid, man that worked for Jabba...so all creature handlers are evil and deserve to be hated, yes?

Goddess...take your crap somewhere else and grow up, kid.

just to point out...while the creature handler in Jabba's employ as fat and less than attractive, he did care for the Rancor. He was crying when it died. Yes it is wrong to hate someobe for how the dress. I would suppose you hate most ice skaters, gymnasts, professional wrestlers, and scuba duvers also

I think the word "whore" is a bit over the top if all you are referring to is their manner of dress.

Check out a real club in a city sometime and see what people are wearing. No, they won't be wearing fleshwraps, but you can bet a lot of them will be dressed to kill.

It's not just the clothing that makes a "whore" or even a "**edit**", it's the attitude, how they interact with people and what they say and do.

There definitely ARE some "sluts" in SWG, but it's not based solely on what they wear. I too am turned off by a woman using obvious sexual advances and suggestive emotes to win tips, but I don't blame them for it. It's simply the way things are, both here and in the real world. Capturing attention in a crowded cantina, any way you can, turns into tips. They're trying to make a living.

If it bothers you, then all you need to do is find someone else to watch/listen to and reward.

You can think what you want about anyone you want. You don't have to watch or tip the people you don't like. Put them on your ignore list if you want to.

Just don't personally callanyone "whores" or other derogatory names in the game because they can report you for harassment. Conversely, if someone says something inappropriateto you that you're not comfortable with, tell them to stop and if they don't, you can report them.
