I cannot find any recent information on Player City theaters....

All I see is how they didn't work at first, are they fixed now?

Can you place furniture and instruments?

I have big plans for my theater / club and I hope I don't have to use a Cantina instead, I wanted something different...

Anyone out there have a PC theater?

I have one Sadly they are broken

Here are the problems with them:

- The stages/seating area's are considered "outside" by the game. As such, you can neither heal wounds or BF anywhere in a Theater except for the indoor backstage area.

- There is a bug that prevents omni-boxes and nalargons from being placed/used on the stage and seating area.

There is, however, a work around for the second problem, but you have to have a willing volunteer What you do is have the volunteer "use" the nalargon or omnibox on the ground in front of the theater. Then they use the "play" option to drag it up the ramps to the stage area. Once they reach the edge of the stage, you can "play" the instrument to drag it up onto the stage itself. The only problem with this, is your volunteer has to remain a few feet from the instrument at all times.

So, they will have to stay near by in the audience for as long as you have the nalargon/omnibox on stage. The volunteer doesn't have to be a musician certed with those instruments to do this however.

There is no work-around for the no bf/wound healing issue however. Also you can't place "props" on the stage since it is outdoors. If you are friends with the mayor you can place lamp-posts and such though if the mayor drops them for you.

I love my Theater and hope that these bugs do someday get fixed. But, for now, you can use the Theater for parties/events/performances but don't expect to be able to use it like a Cantina or private home and heal people =/

Well, thats just a bit silly now, isn't it?

So, the only decorations I can use in the stage area are city decorations...

How large is the back room?

Are there screenshots of the theaters?

Becoming sad now, hehe......

The backstage area is about the size of the basement room in a medium naboo home =/ As for screenies of a Theater, the ones I have are all in the sticked cross server dancer party thread at the top of this forum. We held it in my Theater on Test Center. No real screenies of the seating area of indoor backstage area though, just stuff from the stage.

Basically they look kind of like a mini outdoor stadium(especially with mayor placed lights at night ). They are really neat, but the issues with healing and instruments have kept them from being common as they are really only good for events right now.

It appears I won't be able to do what I had hoped with the theater, but I will own one anyway, hehe...

Stay with your theatre and pray until the Devs will fix that, maybe for the 2100 or something like that , I'm still waiting for those fixes to do more things with my Theatre, the only thing I was able to get was some Stage Lamps the Mayor placed there, and I wanted to have more things for all the event we have in my antisocial Theatre (It's placed in the city borders far far far away of the shopping area and we still use it a lot, )
