Master Dancers could give "dance lessons," that is, they could grant the ability to dance to non-entertainers grouped with them for like 15 minutes at a time, basic2. It would be such a cool idea for parties and increasing interaction between people. It occurred to me several months ago, and then again recently. Anyone else ever thought about this?

I think that would be great. The "students" wouldn't get any dance xp or be able to heal anyone, but they'd be able to participate. The current /dance emote is so lame.
This would really help roleplaying and social events.
We asked about stuff like this at FanFest and they seemed somewhat receptive to ideas, but developer time investment is always the limiting factor on these things.
I'd also like to see couples dancing, where your two toons work as a unit. Kind of like the dancing that you can do in The Sims Online. (I played in TSO beta; the game was totally lame but that dancing thing was really entertaining.)

I like it. So many parties I hear "wish i could dance" What a fun idea to encourage more role-playing

nice idea... :-)
I proposed last Year, that they could change the /dance emote to an repetitive Basic1
Dance, so you can at leat look like you are dancing with someone, standing face to face.
BUT do you think, it would happen?
