so can we get a timeline kinda thing to show what is coming out when, like when JustG made a state of the game letter that showed what was in publishes and mini pubs

like this

The development cycle still has momentum and we still have some other important items, big and small, coming out of the pipeline. Here is what still lies ahead:

  • Before publish 10, we plan on launching the character transfer system

  • In Publish 9.2 We’re publishing Wookiee armor sets #2 and #3, new crafting quests and the second swoop race

  • Publish 9.3 will bring us the third swoop race

  • Publish 10 will be the Jedi Trials. This will be the new gateway to the Jedi profession that will by a mysterious path to unlocking Force sensitivity.

  • Publish 10.1 is going to bring us an exciting surprise and also a list of Correspondent requests

  • Publish 10.2 is focused on the entertainers which features a unique new game experience where entertainers, Dancers and Musicians can perform for an NPC audience for the reward of a new song and dance.
Publish 10 is slated for the end of August, but one of the reasons for these delays is to make as much room as possible for extra implementation and testing time.

I gotta say, I would hate to have to do TH's job. Delivering news like this to a community already up in arms, when he's probably not even remotely responsible for their schedule slips.

I'm truly in shock that our quests are still on the schedule. I'm praying that they stay on the schedule.

This is great news Panthu, thanks for passing this on!

What's this neat surprise and Correspondant request thing? Sounds mysterious

Also, does anyone know anything about that character transfer system? I'm guessing it will cost us money?

This is at least two and a half to three months off and it's for A song and dance. 15 months and we get a dance, they haven't even finished the ones we have or fixed the four dances we have that don't work properly. Yeah we're getting a song and dance alright.

I believe the correct way to look at this is... 15 months for Newbie droid missions on NPC's and a Song and Dance.

I've played through the Quests on TC. So have other posters. They are not currently more than this, I agree.

We can fight to get them a little closer to something we would like to do as a normal Activity. Maybe add teaming elements, maybe add some "loot" rewards at earlier stages that could be fun props for shows like Fans or Large Feathers, maybe we'll be able to get the Payout upped a lot so we can actually "make a living" by doing these quests on a normal basis... we don't know yet.

I am currently asking how we can be more involved in the Design of these quests. We are wanting more than they had planned. I am asking for community involvement on the tweaking.

You have to understand though, this will set us back. This will delay them. For everything we ask to be changed or added, it will take same time to implement. Before the code is even written or any new art is ever done, we have to convince the Dev Team these are actually necessary changes and additions and will improve the game for us.

We can't have it both ways. We either take what they offer with no complaints and get it faster OR we ask that they take the time to listen to what we really want and then we wait while they try to make changes that will please us. *shrug* I'll push for whatever you guys want, but last I heard these needed some major rethinking.

Also... this is not the only area we are working on for Dancer. We are also pushing for improvements to our Buffing and strengthening our role in the overall game design. We are also trying to get our bugs fixed. We are also trying to recover fromside effectsof the Hologrind's wake. We are also trying to get our Top Issues looked at, many of which have beenlong standing.

A lot of our issues and proposals and improvements are being pushed. Better communication with the Entertainers so we can help protect our "Social Experiment" is being strongly pushed and I believe will be coming soon.

Be calm, we have a lot on our plate. The Quests are a side dish, but they are getting the attention they need. I hope in the end, they will be what the community has hoped for. That's going to take a little time though.

I would be perfectly happy if the devs pushed back new entertainer content in exchange for fixes to existing problems such as buffing system, AFK bots, broken dances, incomplete flourishes, etc., and better thought out content at a later date. In the meantime I think we can create our own content, and just fixing the current problems would go a long way toward making our current situation much more tolerable. Furthermore, if we just accept some new simple content now that we're not really happy with, how long would it be before they come around to us again to improve it or create something better? At this point I would much rather see something new that's good even if it takes longer for them to do it than something that's only mildly interesting, but that we can have soon. Of course along this line it would really help us to be more patient in waiting for these changes if we saw even some minimal active dev participation in asking for and listening to our thoughts and suggestions for changes. We certainly have no shortage of good ideas in this forum! At least we have Panthu on our side to keep our hopes alive, else I might have to hang up my dance shoes.

I'm not sure if it's ever been brought up in the past (probably has) but I think a useful addition for us (and musicians to) would be for a group startDance/changeDance, seeing as we can already do group flourishes, it would be nice if all the dancers could actually start their show with some syncronicity

As dancers are atm I'm quite happy but a couple of my friends and I do like to put on shows and it's a bit annoying when your not 'dancing to the same tune' so to speak.
