if you take away the supply of afk buffbots, it creates a demand... that demand will be filled once again by live entertainers... really, it will

there was no shortage of live entertainers in cantinas before afk-ing becamepopular, the plentiful supply of liveones went away when cantinas became so unpleasant, dead and full of spam

there are a few things we'll have to do differently in our showband if they change this (sometimes we build costume changes with /ui action macros for example, or we use /macro or /ui action commands to call the next lyric macro) but we're all bright, creative people and we'll find other ways to do what we need to do

i use cob macro in combat too on my fighter chars, but the game is far from unplayable without it, it's not a big deal to just hit it when you need it,and most other uses of macros for combat you would still be able to do, like custom combinations of moves, for example

crafters can still incorporate macros into grinding/crafting, they may now have to hit an F-key once each cycle as well as filling resources: is that really a big deal?

making the change is worth it. having a vibrant, live entertainer community on each server is worth it. it's an amazing, creative, fun aspect of this mmorpg that is unlike any other game, it's very worth having and it's been getting the crap kicked out of it for poor reasons.
