Attention all entertainers!!!

Attempting to start what is known as a "Cantina Crawl" on the Shadowfire server. If you don't know what a cantina crawl is, visit: www.furplay.com for more info. This was originally started on the Bria server and sounds like a blast! This message is primarily to find out how many are interested in such a thing. We would like to set a date for late August, like the 21st or the 28th.

We need generous voluteers to help with costumes if necessary and possibly nice cantina owner who would be willing to have it taken over for a while. We will stick to the less AFK cantinas, hotels, theatres, etc. Need input as to where people would like to go, and any other ideas.

Rules:

NO AFK!!!!

NO BASIC DANCE OR MUSIC (i.e. basic 1 or 2, or Starwars 1 or 2 *cringe*)!!!

HAVE FUN!!!

Please email Echidna, Elessedil or Perill if interested so we can find out how many would like to go.

Thanks!

If you're going to make a "no afk" rule, you shouldn't be afk when we try to contact you. (Echidna)

If you plan to make this event cross server, which I assume you do, by posting it here, you might want to remove rule #2. The fact is, manycross server visitors will come over to get these skills before the crawl. However there is also many who just want to come to crawl. Crawls, at least on Bria have become about the cross server visitors, many of which are noobs at first. With the groups, most beginners will be past basic and SW1 before you know it. Also might want to title this post "Cantina Crawl: Shadowfire" It will attract much more attention

Be sure to let us know when you set the date so I can let other entertainers know!

That's right folks, if the entertainers on Bria can do it, why can't we?!

Perill and I are organizing a Cantina Crawl for Aug. 21st (time TBA) to hop from cantina to cantina such as the Bestine Cantina, Theed Cantina (Starport maybe?), Coronet Theatre, and The Viper's Nest (in Drakonis just outside the mining outpost on Dantooine). These locations are just examples and are not set in stone.

The purpose of a cantina crawl is to show the other players that not all entertainers are AFK 24-7 or are buff-bots and know how to party! We plan to have a separate musician group and a separate dancer group both perform band flourishes and actually LOOK like a band and dance troupe!

If possible, we want to get together ahead of time for a "dress rehearsal" to distribute costumes, discuss any formations, decide on a general program and address any issues or concerns. The veteran entertainers have offered to help sponsor the event, such as travel fees for newbies, and if any of you are good friends with a Tailor who wouldn't mind giving a bulk discount for such an event, please let us know!

This is all for good clean (YES ladies & gentlemen CLEAN) fun for all levels of entertainer.I am sure that we all could stand to perform a basic song or dance for a while just to see 20 performers flourish at the same time! Please remember that we want everyone to flirt and have fun, but that there ARE limits.Everyone is welcome and all will get a turn to lead with bandflourishes if they choose although the novice levels need to understand that at times the more experienced entertainers and masters will want to strut their stuff.

Rules are as such:

-Obviously NO AFK for extended periods of time.

-DO NOT COME OVERT, this normally doesn’t apply to entertainers, but some do dabble in combat.

-Keep the conversation PG13

Please contact us with your ideas or questions, feel free to invite a SUPPORTIVE audience and please SPREAD THE WORD!!!We would like a big turnout for our first event!

To read about the origins of the Cantina Crawl and view some of Bria’s video footage of their Cantina Crawls, go to: http://www.furplay.com/swg/news.php

We’ll send you updates as we receive them, hope to see you there!
