When I look through the list of all the dances, it seems to me that there is a huge split. In Entertainer, the majority of the dances are 'pseudo clubbish', while the poplock in dancer appears to be the first and only "mainstream" dance that I recognize, and the rest in dancer are very....artsy.

I am pretty certain this is the breakdown, and I was wondering if perhaps there was a possibility that newer dances would be added in the future?

P.S. Maybe the ability to 'partner' and have 2 beings do a dance 'together' thus giving us waltz's and flaminco(flamingo?) dancing etc...

P.P.S.

I feel that if this were in, they ought to allow 'any' dancer to do this, starting with wherever the first dance is available, i.e. if the first two-person dance (we'll call it /slowdance for now) were in say...Entertainer Dancing 2, then anyone with that box or above could join another person with that box or above and dance it.

For couples dances, "tandem animations" as they call them are a technical challenge for the game. However, it may yet happen. I believe the video they showed of the mo-cap session (I missed that panel unfortunately) had couples dances, and people poking through the patch file for publish 10 on TC have found some files named to indicate they are tandem animations. Not dances yet, but it could be the first step towards having tandem dances.

We will be getting a new dance as a reward for the theater manager quest coming to live sometime after publish 10. Speculation is it will be styled after jazz dance.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

Two dancers facing each other can perform formal dance (use groupflourish) and in effect, are tandem dancing. Looks very nice too.

All your dev time this time around is used up in removing "recursive" (looping) macros. Please try again in 9 months.

Ingame Names: Sif @ Bria, Chilastra, Flurry, Naritus, Starsider | Hiordis @ Kettemoor | Freya @ Tempest
Quotable: It's pretty freaking underwhelming when the story turns out to be you, alone, in a field, for two weeks, punching toads. | At least SOE lasted a year before they went Turbine on us.
