Heyas

I am newish to the dancer profession and love it, its a great way to socialise and meet people. I am now a master dancer and just wondering if there was any dance scripts out there that are nice to use. I have a couple little scripts made up that arent anything flash that I use as I chat to people and the like, so was just wondering if anyone else wouldnt mind sharing some, especially a nice "exotic" dance combo

. Now I understand that some people consider their dances to be their own work and dont want to share them, I understand that fully, so I hope I'm not breaking any etique or anything, I'm just after some nice dances

I'd also be interested in this topic. I had a few dance combos that I was experimenting with but that I lost when my computer had a meltdown and I had to rebuild my system and reinstall SWG. Now for the life of me I can't seem to get the timing right or get them looking like they were. They just end up looking drab and ill-timed. I'm not looking to copy and paste any routines since there are quite a few flourishes and effects that I don't really like but that others can make look great. If I do manage to make any of my routines work, I'll be happy to share them as well.

add me to the very interested in this subject. I had a dancer character almost 2 years ago when i was new to MMO's and my head was reeling just learning what everything on the keyboard does. always loved dancer but ended up not caring for that server much. Recently made a new character to be a dancer but i really don't remember which flourishes are the nice ones in which dance and would prefer doing "routines" than pounding f-keys randomly. Like the other posted said... not planning to keep your routine... just need a base to start from.

Same here - would really like to be able to start sharing a few - see what people do - swap ideas - not steal routines by any means.

For those who despise the broken base dance in theatrical, but love the flourishes, I have worked out the lengths of each flourish so you can flourish, pause, and flourish almost continuously. Some flourishes have a touch of base dance after them, but - at least for me - shortening them any further will prevent the next flourish from running properly. It's not that bad, overall, and it makes theatrical look a LOT better.

I'm having trouble with the timing for flourish 5 so yes indeed I'd like to see what you've worked out. I suspect my timing problems are due to lag since some times I seem to be right on the money with it and others I end up spazzing all over the place.

Okay it took me more hours than you could possibly imagine but I finally worked out the timing for myproblematic flourish in Theatrical 2. Did bandflos with two other dancers on Shadowfire last night and it looked awesome!! Thanks Deli'ah and Aleon!! I'm going to try to tweak it just a bit to shave off more of that drift but I'll post my timings here later (don't have access to that computer at the moment and didn't write them on paper).

We had several people ask what dance we were doing and a few who seemed impressed. I got a few tells later asking me about the dance since so few people perform Theatrical on our server.

Obviously your timings may differ based on server lag - Shadowfire is very small and there wasn't that much activity in the area but with luck it'll save you a bit of time

I would LOVE this one. I've been having a horrible time trying to make this dance look good.

Okay as promised here's the timing I have for Theatrical2. Again, these are for my server and your's may vary slightly. A couple of these need a little more tweaking to see if more of the base dance can be removed but this is a good start. This is just for the flourishes I like:

flourish 1and a pause of 11.7

flourish 2and a pause of 6.5

flourish 3and a pause of 9.5

flourish 5and a pause of 13.0

flourish 6and a pause of 4.5

flourish 7 and a pause of 7.1

We had three dancers doing this in synch and it looked great. I think with a bigger group it would be even more amazing! The patrons in the cantina (and it's probably better suited for outside) definitely enjoyed it as well.
