Thread: Are the Cantina Raids a PLOT (to get us to use Hotels and Theaters)?

Yesterday, my MID on Intrepid was asked to give a fellow guildie a makeover. We met in front of the Coronet Starport where my guildie was promptly attacked by a Storm Trooper (he is a Rebel Combatant). So I led him off to the edge of town and into the Coronet Hotel where I could work on him in peace.
No one ever uses the Hotels, and we were uninterupted during the entire time we were there... well, one or two people came in to visit the event coordinator. There were no raids by spamming NPCs, no afk zombies, no bots... but no live entertainers either.

This is a horrible problem on Valcyn. Ten minutes can't go by without a group of stormies coming in and attacking the 2 rebel dancers that are dancing there with us. (This obviously gets very annoying very quickly.)
On Kauri, however, I have seen nothing of the sort. I don't think I've seen any stormies in the cantinas.
My point being...I have no idea what this means.

we are hanging in theed and no one is rebel.. they all retired after this patch.. but to have a stromie coming in spaming for 5 mins every other 5 min block orf time is worse than any acuall PC i have ever met in the game.. you wanna add content SOE?? well this aint the way to do it.. it was cool the first time... after about 10-20 since ive been entertaining tonight its awefull...

On Flurry it's common for bots to live in the Hotels as a way of minimizing competition from live entertainers and making sure their "flocks" aren't tempted to stray.

I have posted more or less the same thing in various threads, this new publish is ruining my dancing fun. Theed cantina, on Chimaera, is becoming unbearable with almost continual gunfights. There are now players farming fp, stormies are entering the cantina every 40 seconds and the spamming is almost harrassment.
It has forced me out of the cantina on several occasions. This is such a shame as we had worked hard on encouraging ATK entertainers and the atmosphere had improved so much over the last few months. I can see that it won't be long before only AFK Jedi alts are the only ones in the cantinas, the rest of us having been driven out entirely.
As an on leave Reb, I am now dancing more in Moenia, but the place is deserted and it's going to take awhile to get the word round that it's a safe place for Rebs.

I dance on Valcyn and haven't seen any stormies in the C-net cantina at all. Lots of CorSecs going through since the patch and occasionally they aggro on an AFK entertainer. There are usually enough combat people in there to take care of them though.

I have seen a stormtrooper outside the hotel, right next to the entrance. Im on leave so it didnt bother me, but it created problems for other rebels trying to get to the event promoter.
I went to the theater tho the time i got attacked, before i was on leave and i couldnt see any stormtroopers outside the theater.

No, but I have seen them standing outside of them - even on the porch . . .

That's no joke. A friend of mine was stuck in our guild hall for about 10 minutes until a squad of Rebel commandos showed up and drew the stormies away from the immediate area. She had just logged in the day after the patch and wasn't aware that she had bee set to combatant status, although the stormies shooting at her right as she walked outside was a great way to be welcomed to the new GCW. Good thing we are situated about 3 or 4 minutes ride from Anchorhead.

Well a group was outside our PA and decided to scan a guildie. He was inside before he saw the stop message and they followed him in. We had 8 stormies and a imp medic hanging around inside the hall for the next half hour. I'm sure they will do the same in a cantina.
