Ok, so apparently people have discovered that using the speedbuff macro gives the non-masters more experience. So, I go into the Coronet cantina today looking to sell some mindbuffs. I am successful, as usual. But, if you haven't heard me say this before, I like to listen to the in-game music. I like to dance to what the musicians are playing. So, I target one of the musicians in the group so that I can /listen to them while I'm dancing. Come to find out the system messages start scrolling up rapidly with "so and so starts playing" "so and so stops playing." So, I'm like, fine, I'll just wait out the 30 seconds or whatever until the spam stops and the buff is done. 30 seconds goes by, then a minute, then 2 minutes, and I'm like, **edit**. I notice that the person I'm listening to does not appear to be a master. Maybe he's practicing, I dunno. So, I /stoplisten, and then /listen to another musician. Same thing. I repeat the process with about 5 different musicians. All of them /startdance and /stopdance. This is when I finally piped up and asked **edit** was going on, and this is when I found out that the macro supposedly gives more experience. And, that apprently the entire band is using a macro to do it. Or, I don't know how it really works. But, perhaps one person is stopping and starting the whole band? I'm not sure. The fact is, I couldn't stand it so I had to leave before I could figure it all out. So, basically, if I want to listen to music I have to put up with that BS spamming. I can't turn off my system messages because I need to see the "ticks" go by when performing a buff. So, guess what? No buffs from me. I'm outta there. And, I'm not going back until the 15 second fix is put in. THANKFULLY, people didn't discover this a long time ago and I'm not going to have to wait that long to see this macro disappear. But, I think it's a sad state of affairs when the majority of people are so obsessed with hologrinding and/or levelling that they allow and WANT this BS to go on in there. It's enough to make just want to give up. I still think the extra 2 minute thing is complete BS. But, the devs need to be thanked wholeheartedly for the 15 second wait time because without it I think I'd be about ready to drop some skills and never enter a Cantina again in my life except for the rare times I needed some BF healing.

Uh oh, Pappi, is that ominous music playing in the background?
I loaded TC but everytime I try to get in I get a client crash. I wanted to see the dancing Jawas!

hrm... have you tried a full scan? sometimes that fixes it up

I wrote coronet off as the worst place to visit long, long ago. Full of afk grinders, macrotainers, and spammers. Find a nice spot where RPers gather, and enjoy real entertainment there.

I am so annoyed. I cannot wait until this patch tomorrow. I am so sick and tired of that damned entire Coronet Cantina doing the speedbuff macro, and I cannot wait until they find out they can't do it anymore. I get into an argument nearly everyday because I can't listen to any music in there. Not good for my stress levels. I hate them all...hahahaha

Just ask to join the group, then if you get in spam a macro that loops the /stopband command over and over until they kick you out.
MUAHAHHAHAHAAAA!! *coughcough*

Yep, Pappi, first thing I did was try a full scan, but that didn't work. As much as I'd like to see TC, guess I'm stuck waiting for the final results. But I did place my order for an entetainer droid fully loaded. Can you explain how the playback music works? The DE told me that there are 6 effects and the music playback (7 modules). He said a droid can only hold 6 modules, so I need to eliminate one of the effects.

yeah, i got all 6 dancer effects, haven't tried the musician one
should've had the DE corr make me an extra droid
