Thread: New Dancer, need to know what to do

I'll assume that you mean experience points... get into a large group of entertainers, use your highest dance, flourish every 10s, and have fun

you get max xp with one flourish per 10 seconds
(without using tricks/exploits/whatever-you-call-them),
but the flourish action cost is higher on dancer.
If you are still a master musician you can earn the
Entertainment Healing xp part of the dancer profession
with music. This should be much faster than with beginning
Dancer skills.
And expect Dancer to be a as boring profession as
you feeled Musician to be. So you will hate it too.

and as you will also know gerrob, when I first became a musician, I was doing it and was asking help, then when I show a macro that me and another made that was making us 2k xp per minute in music, you guys started to flaming me and berating me for "ruiing" you beloved profession.
remember, the only well known dancer was in Jabba's palace, and even then, she became pet food for the rancor.

Far be it for me to out do the fabulous Oola, but I have a few people who come to see me dance on a semi regular basis. I think that kinda makes me famous in my area

You may ask in the entertainer boards for help, but please dont expect
everyone willing of using "shady" techniques to hurry through this
profession (and then drop it anyway).
Most of the people who knew of this (or the 30 sec buffs) before did
not use it, because they felt it was an exploit. And others who used
it simply kept silent.
And, as of 5 days ago, some Cantina's have taken to use the 30 sec buff macro non-stop, whether they are buffing or not, whether they are master or not, thereby spamming anybody who should happen to want to listen to the musicians, and making it extremely unpleasant for everyone who didn't want to have to deal with that crap. It's sad that an entire group, none of whom want to actually keep their profession, think it's perfectly okay to subject everyone who comes in and wants to listen or get their wounds healed because it gives a little more experience than not doing so. People couldn't just let it stand at going afk and macro'ing, they had to stoop to such abrasively low levels. If I didn't hate the afk hologrind mentality before, I most certainly have been driven to a blinding hatred of it now because of this particular tactic. The patch to end this can't come too soon.

I have people send me tells to travel to them to dance every day. I have people send me tells asking me where I am dancing so they can come watch me every day. I have people who help me to locate things that make me a better dancer. I may not be Oola, heck I am not even Twi'lek, but in my own little way I have some small amount of fame in my galaxy. And its not because I can pwn you or outgrind you, its because I entertain people. That's all I do... Master Dancer, Master Entertainer, Master Image Designer, 4/0/4/3 Musician.

And that seems to be the difference between entertainers and the combat classes. They want to win, we want to just have fun. Well said
And because they want to win they help me out when I can. I've been slowly trying to acquire things. Some are small donations to the decore of the cantina. Some are mind enhancement SEAs to add to my enhanced leotard and lekku wraps so they can get better buffs. Things like that.
I so appreciate the people that frequent my cantina. That's why I'm sad when I hear stories of people who grief entertainers.
