Thread: Did the new patch change the Buffing time from 10 minutes to 3 minutes ??
Nope... a lot of dancers will now be using the 3 min buff (which you have to be buffed or have food for) instead of the slower easier to perform (and more room for pretty) 8 min buff (though if you always did the 8 min buff in 10 mins you'll see no change in duration).
Remember, 3 min buffs cost us more money to perform, so make sure you let the publicknow this!
What Panthu said is true. Doing it rapidly costs us, either through chef foods or doctor buffs, in order to keep our action from depleting. For 2 days I used the 30 second macro. I wanted to experiment on things, how it worked, how I could make it work for me, etc. This macro was impossible to use without a doctor buff. I made sure I got compensated for it. A lot of dancers were under the assumption that well...it only took 30 seconds, so I'll just give it away or charge less since it's not taking up a bunch of my time.
Well, not me.
I gave my guinea pig patrons an option. You could get my regular 10 minute buff for a cheap 5k, or you could get the speedbuff for 12k, which is way more than I have ever charged for any buff. As it turns out, there were a lot of people that were more than willing, probably 75% of the people, to give me 12k for that 30 second buff. I'm considering doing the same thing with the 3 minute buff. I probably won't charge 12k for it. But, maybe 9-10K, see how that works for me. Time is valuable! And, those hardcore combat players are generally more than happy to fork over a little extra cash to get the buff quicker. And, it's completely justifiable, IMO, because not only does it still cost you time, but it costs you in chef foods and doctor buffs. We do have expenses here, and I fully plan to offset those expenses by charging a little extra.
