Thread: Suggestions for male dancer costumes?

I have just made master dancer with my maleTwi'lek, and unlike most male dancers I am planning to keep the profession (I am not holo-grinding!). Since I started dancing, I noticed a lack in 'dancing' clothes for those of the male persuasion. Fleshwraps and leotards just didn't seem to fit me!

I know that more 'dancing' clothes for males is in a few people's wishlists at the moment, but does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for some costume ideas or what looks elegant, but not too effeminate? I am currently just wearing a black infiltration suit and sneakers.

All replies are appreciated!

I used to dance with a really great guy and as I was also mastering tailor at the time, I got to play dress up with him too. I've listed below some of my favorites. I hope they give you some ideas for how you would like to dress when performing.

Black bikini leggings (yes, guys can wear them) and black simple vest are awesome with the exotic dances. This seems to look best without shoes. Trim Lined Shirt and Lined shorts in jewel colors (especially with gold trim on the shorts) look great with black Tantel armor boots (very Jack Sparrow). Either the Leather Trim shirt or Suit Shirt look very nice with Dress Slacks and High Quality boots for a more formal look (dress slacks look awful with shoes). The Casual Jacket and Striped Pants can be colored to look like jeans or black leathers and look great with a Flex Form shirt in contrasting colors and Casual Shoes (add Tipless Gloves if you're going for the black leather look). The Decorative Vest and either Striped Pants or Two-Toned Skirt in black with purple, red or blue contrast and boots seem to be the rage right now. If you prefer to go shirtless, you might want to consider a necklace. The Crested Neckpiece, Gemstone Crest and Immense Gemstone Necklace are all very nice, masculine pieces that take color well. Most of the clothing I've mentioned will accept BE enhanced synthetic cloth.

I didn't notice a server listed for you. If you're on Chilastra, give me a shout as either Esharra or Carenzi, I'd love to dress you.

I'm in the same boat that you are. There really aren't enough clothing choices for male dancers out there. I wish there were more, but I make do with what I have.

For dancing popular, I find that black striped pants (with whatever color stripe you want), trim lined shirts, and black dress shoes do very nicely. For doing the exotics, I've found that, depending on your build of course, just a good looking two-tone formal skirt is very nice.

Depending on your mood and the coloring, a tactical skinsuit with or without a matching decorative vest (depending on the dance) can look good.

I hope this gives you some ideas,
