Logged in and saw message in load screen 10.2 listing various changes... nothing mentioned about entertainer quests, but they always forget us so I ran to start the quest. Sure as heck couldn't find it. If this really is 10.2, where is our quest? If this is 10.2, why am I not surprised it isn't in here?

To the best of my knowledge 10.2 hasn't even hit TC ( not even sure 10.1 has ) yet. That said the base quest DOES exist on TC, it just hasn't got a reward at the moment.

I have no idea what they're doing over there in Devland, and it's more than apparent they don't know, either.
This is NOT 10.2 - seriously.
They need to stop posting garbage and walking away for 4 days.
This isn't Publish 10.2 - at least it better not be...
I think it's more than disappointing that we've had these "Quests" on TC for MONTHS - yet what is it we can't test on them? OHHHH - JUST THE FREAKIN REWARDS. Just the things we'll actually be USING day in and day out - can't wait for the new dance to come out, and all it does is make the Dancer look disjointed with a broken neckand electrocuted perpetually, because no one could TEST the stupid thing on TEST Center. Oh, and the new song will sound like a gigantic mosquito buzzing and the new instrument will look like we're blowing air into one of those gigantic ? boxes that say "Default Appearance" because no one could TEST the stupid things on TEST Center.
There's no excuse at this point as to why we can't test this ESSENTIAL new content for our professions. If it's not ready yet, it's hopeless, because we need adequate time on TC to test these quests all over again, with the rewards in place, to make sure it really works correctly.
The fact that we've gone through these quests time and time again, and STILL we have no real new content to test with is a travesty...honestly - the single most important thing to test is the REWARDS. What good is getting all the repetitive missions working right, when the rewards end up borked anyways?
This whole situation is LAME. I fully expect that these quests will be implemented and the rewards will be useless, or have some kind of problems, only because we didn't have time to mess with them enough. Expecting anything else at this stage is foolishness, folks. These are new content pieces that are WELL overdue being on TC to be tested and worked through.
I'm getting in game, jamming at a Starport, and I'm going to try and forget the fact that I PAY these people to do this junk to me and my gameplay.
Gawd, I need to switch to decaf
Sorry for the rant folks.

I just hope it's not 14.3 or the dreaded "after JTL and the Combat Revamp" so this perpetuates until, well, who knows when.
MAN...
I was SO hoping today to get home and start cranking on those Quests, and try to get myself a new song, dance, and instrument ![]()

You are going to be able to test them in their improved version on TC soon. I just got a real live Dev answer about them. *bounces* <- It was so fast after asking, I'm still a little giddy.
Communication has been reopened on this side, we should be seeing a new Public feedback thread as soon as these changes hit TC (not yet).
So, yeah, they are being worked on. I'm asking more questions right now and will get back with answers as soon as I get them.

I guess they just decided to bump up the numbers a bit. No, our quests are not ready yet as far as I know. I have been told that we were going to have some things unlocked on TC, like the 24 hour reset, just so we could test more easily. I have also been told that we would be allowed a new discussion period about these before they hit Live... so I am still hoping both of these things are possible.
I know you guys want these to be quality and want a chance for input here.
I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to warn you guys about this. We just weren't told this time and with all of the craziness going on with multiple test servers right now, communication has been a little strained. O.o
Forget the number, the Quests will still happen, this just wasn't our number it seems. I'll try to get some communication going about this testing again.

I just found this in a post of Tiggs about Patch 10.2:
