Oki, be mad if you want to, but TH did not make the policy. TH has never made any policy. That isn't his job.
This isn't really a new policy. I'm sure it is now being said because of something that happened right before the Corr Summit. CSRs came and asked people to leave and they didn't. It was bad.
That's really the whole point: if a CSR asks you to leave, leave. If this becomes a problem for Ent or Social Events, I will raise heck from my side. As far as I know though, this is not an actual change in policy. They've just finally been given a reason to say it plainly.

We've never been approached by a CSR about our gatherings, so I don't think it'll happen any time soon. So far we've been conscious of where to have them so as not to bother people too much. For example, we had a SPJ in Theed, but inside beside the Ticket Collector, where the lag was minimal or non-existant.
As for the Cantina Crawls, the only experience we ruin might be our own. We don't lag combat types, just ourselves!
As far as this announcement is concerned, I see NO change to our events.

Okay, some of y'all seem to be getting your feathers allruffled for no reason. Please stop looking for reasons to be mad at TH, the devs, SOE and the game in general. The Cantina Crawls won't be affected and most likely neither will the Starport Jams. This isn't pointed at us entertainers at all.
Granted, there is a good bit of twisted humor in the fact that a massive multiplayer online game can't handle masses of people playing the game together . . .

I doubt it would have any effect on events and the like... BUT now everyone knows about said policy. People will try and use it to grief.

Yeah. I can understand that, It's not like it's an MMORPG or anything.

It just means please leave if a CSR asks you to... I've never heard of a CSR breaking up an Ent Event, but should you be at one and they do show up and ask you to leave, just split the party up and move on. No big deal.

When the cantina crawl consists of 800 players and a CSR comes and requests us to leave the area I am sure we will understand lol. Those of us that aren't already LD that is. I went LD twice during CC8 trying to get out cantina doors and there was only like 50 people there so I think the crawl would kill itself long before a CSR gets around to doing it.
I think this is mainly focused at your combat monsters over on Bloodfin Oh-Orb. Shame on them and their epic server crashing PvP battles! What do you think this is, the GCW???

What policy? I'm not sure what the concern is because the link in the first message doesn't go anywhere...
