Ok, I've never gotten an answer to this on the other forums, cause no one seems to know yet.
Is it possible for a dancer to do the Phase quest to get the senses: healing line unlocked?
How about Senses: luck?
It would seem to me that the requirements should be relaxed enough for entertainers to do and not geared towards artisans or medics only.
Since our experience converts to senses, we should be eligible for all quests under senses by our entertainment skills alone.

You can use your xp for the Senses line, but you cant do the quests to unlock as an entertainer.

You'd think that, but it's not so. It has been verified that the devs believe pure entertainers should have to respec in order to achieve Jedi. The are no quests there for entertainers.

You can check out my FS Entertainer FAQ for the answer to this and other questions. Feel free to contribute if there is a question that isn't answered.

I think I'm gonna buy a bunch of cheap keyboards, pull all the ts off the keys, put them in a bag and mail it to SOE with the following note:
Hi!
I was reading the Dancer subset of your SWG forums and noticed that it has been recommended that entertainers "respec" their profession in regards to the FS quests. I am concerned that the keyboards provided to your staff may not be adequate, and may in fact be missing the "t" key, so I have found you some replacements.
Thank you for your support!

ouch, pretty simply ouch. I was also hoping that there would be info on the Luck branch, but the document you quoted from the original message has been deleted. the info for the senses: healing branch was good, but I know how that one works cause I was on TC when the village started this phase. (lol it didn't work quite the way they expected.) I did a couple of the sith invasions and finished the combat portion of it but there were no healers required as everyone who participated had buffs. those that had no buffs died in seconds anyway. Poorly designed quest for healers in my opinion. Besides, have the devs been paying attention? Healers really have no place in SWG except to heal entertainers, surveyors, and the favorite one, tumblers. Mostly due to buffs being as strong as they are. And with medic being made obsolete, they're still in a better position than an entertainer.
We get no "respec", lol.

Something must be really wrong with me 'cause I *did* consider really doing it for a while.
/hugs, laughing > crying.
I should, erm, check the forum more on weekends.

Yeah, you'd think so wouldn't you? But no, apparently ents are required to have medic skills if they want to participate in the FS quests. I guess ent skills aren't good enough or worthy enough on their own. But you know, if all they required was Novice Medic to open the entire sense tree that might not be so bad. It's not so difficult to free up the SP for a novice skill for most people at least, but the problem is that some of the branches require Master Medic to be opened. That's just unreasonable!
At first I was kind of excited about this whole village thing. I even had 2 different skill trees to draw from - crafter and ent. Unfortunately it turns out that to use my ent XP I need some level of Medic, and if it's Master level, that's not gonna happen. The real dealbreaker for me, though, was the fact that you can't drop your FS skills. I just want to open my second slot and make that character into something else - maybe a Jedi, but in order to do that I have to permanently alter the template of my original character. It probably wouldn't touch my main profs of Dancer and Tailor, but it will impact my spare skills which I use to round out my character and have more fun with it. I have decided that that is not acceptable for me and I will once again have to forego the path to Jedi. I may choose to do some quests which I am able to complete, and I may even train in a few FS skills if I think they will sufficiently enhance my template as a Tailor (the ent enhancements just aren't worth it). But for now my second slot will just have to remain locked. My suggestion to pure ents out there is don't even bother - you're not wanted in the Village. If you're an ent hybrid you may get something out of it, but only if you're willing to either convert your current character to a Jedi or permanently give up some of your skill points to FS skills.
