Thread: Does disease effect a buff taking?

Still learing here... buffed a client, it didnt take. Found out afterwards that said client was diseased. Does disease effect a buff taking?

With as borked and bugged as our buffing code apparently is, I'm gonna have to answer this question with a resounding... maybe

Since most of thedocumented causes of buff failure involve a change to the stats, (such as equiping/unequiping armor & weapons, taking food & spice, using powerboost (never tested equilib)) during the buff, it's probably a pretty sure bet that it would. Next time my favorite CM is around I think I'd like to play with it & see.

Interesting possibility . . . I've never buffed anyone with a disease, so I can't say for certain. I'll agree with my most respected collegues aboveand give you a definite. . .perhaps!

also, the buff only effects the unwounded mind. any part of the mind stats that are wounds will not be doubled.

True, but in most cases the mind wounds will be healed by the time the buff is done. Musicians have to worry about encumberance as well, but dancers don't.
