And from what I've read/heard/seen on the CU, I should just stop now, is that the consensus? I don't have any skilltapes for dancing, and I already have novice entertainer obviously, and that's all I needed in the first place?

Oh, wait, the novice entertainer inspiration buff is only 30 minutes, compared to the master dancer's 3 hour duration.

So after 30 minutes the buff-ee is just going to run back and watch a buffbot again for a minute.

I should just drop my skills now or finish it to say I did it?

/sigh

Do you enjoy dancing? If yes, that's the only justification you need to continue. If no, then you would probably be happier doing something else. The point is to have fun.

It's not as simple asthat though. I really enjoy being a master dancer but droping from master to 0040 wouldn't change how much I enjoy it much. I'd miss the master dances andI'd also miss thelight effects a little bit but that's it and in return I'd get alot of skill points to put into another profession I enjoy as well. Then with the change to inspiration buffs I'd still be able to give a full buff just taking a little longer.

I think it does all come down to what do you enjoy more. If someone would more enjoy dancing master dances as opposed tostacking master brawler with TKM, then the choice is obvious. I know a lot of players are really wanting to focus on the limitations they have decided are in our immediate future. I'm hoping we can soon come to the point where we stop with the apocalyptic predictions and start coming up with more creative ideas that take us beyond the immediately foreseen. Giving up your dancing skills just because a novice entertainer can buff? It is akin to saying that buff dispensers are all we are capable of being.

Yeah ok I agree, I had taken what you meant slightly differently before.

Well I'd never give up master dancer because of that. Being able to buff was never part of the fun of dancer for me,I don't think I've ever been asked for more then two buffs in a week and that is with master dancer title up all the time

But I do understand how someone can look at our skill trees and decide to stop at 0040. I just feel that the devs really need to add more value to our other skill lines.

I think dabbling is a great thing. But the decision should be based on what is fun for the individual. What could define greater value, in a game context, than fun? And what thingsdo you guysthink wouldmake it more fun?

We are not buff dispensers no. But we had the support role of a functioning profession. Where Novice Ent through Master Dancer had their uses but you of course got better the higher up you went. And then if you Mastered Both Elite Ent professions well you were even better.

That has all been removed to place us into being a non-functioning class. Where our support role isn't needed and likely will be barely wanted to the majority of players. And where Novice ent= Double Elite master+5 minutes...

Of course it is just in concept so .... but if they pull it to change anything big on it. It likely won't show up for a while.

Novice Ent buff is 3 hours. You just have to dance/play music a little longer then a Master has to.

I agree with our esteemed correspondent.

Do not dance bacause it will make you rich. Do not dance because it will earn you accolades from your fellow players. Do not dance just to have the master title.

Dance because you love it. And if you don't... there's not much point to doing it.

The point of this game, or any game, is to have FUN. Period. End of discussion. There is no other viable reason to play any game.

If you are having fun, then keep dancing. If and when it stops being fun, that is the point to give it up. It's quite simple, really, if you just keep in mind that games are about having fun.

Just a side note, You can have Master Dancer, Master Brawler, and TKM at the same time, it will leave you 4 skill points left

its my current template plan, pretty much just a Cantina Dancer who has the tendancie to bust a bottle over the heads of others.
