My wife plays a dancer on the Lowca Server. I asked her if she calls people "Hun."

She said "never."

I said "How do you let people know that you are a RL Female?"

She said "Why would I want people to know I'm a RL Female?"

I also play with a RL female friend in EQII. She said the same thing. Seems people pester RL females and the Real Females don't really care to let people know.

So, "hun" save it. I know you're a middle aged half blad guy just as I am.

Would you believe me when I told you that I know at least two RL females in SWG (playing female toons) that have called me "hun"?

Heh..yeah. I know a lot of RL girls who use that term, both in & out of game environments (it is one of my sister's favorites, which has a lot to do with why I, anotherRL girl, don't use it ). Sorry, but that's just not a very goodRL gender flag.

well, as I told my step-children; that teenager that you are chatting with is really some middle-aged bureaucrate just pretending to be a 13 year old girl.

We all probably know some RL females that play and use the term; but I stand by my assertation!!! got nothing to back it up, so it must be right!!!

Course, my character has a comb-over and is as old as I could make it. I think I'll start calling people "hun" just to confuse the issue even more.

I use "hon," but I'm a mid-twenties female.

Hun, you really need to learn to chill out and just enjoy the game instead of worrying about the sex of its inhabitants.

Oh, and hun? That combover? Not so good.

In EQI I was a mid-twenties female. Had a player fall in love with me. Since then, I have stopped being a RL female in the games.

Role playing a female is pretty sad in a MMORG. Basically, if yougood at playing and your character is high level, it pretty much means your not out cruising to pick up RL women. Which itself takes some effort and time.

Bottom line, having people think you are a RL woman, whether you are or are not, in a MMORG invites a lot of attention. I suppose some want that attention.

Those are the ones calling people "hun" otherwise why would a RL female care? And what better way to get that attn then to use a word like "hun".

see ya in game hun

Ha!

Like I said in the other thread, I say this all the time but I use "hon" usually because a lot of role players prefer that spelling. I'm a 28 yo married rl female. I'm not looking for a hook up or to talk anyone into believing my bio sex. I'm just Southern and tend to use all kinds of terms of endearment - sweetie, babe, sugar, etc. It's not part of my rp, it's just how I talk, lol.

That's also just the way I talk IRL. Although, it does seem that most males spell it "hun" and most females spell it "hon." But that could also be an unfair generalization.
