Thread: My thoughts on new dances on Props

I might be in the minority here, but I like the new dances and the new props. The flashy lights are kinda cool too. I made them all when I logged in this morning and played around with them.
After a little bit I wandered over to Theed and danced outside the starport. I've never danced for tips, though I don't turn up my nose at them 
, I drew quite an audience with people asking about the new dances and the props. They thought it all looked really cool. One person kept asking for the dance floor back

One person kept asking for the dance floor back I really had a great time with the props, I like the double ribbons, the mystical ribbons, the sparkler ribbons, the swords, the staffs and the glowsticks...the glowsticks let me mock the other glowstick carriers who run arround in boxers and swoop helms thinking they're so uber
The dances and props are fun. Enjoy them.

The props are cute. Personally I think the novelty will wear off in not-too-long, kind of like when I first got all those visual effects in the tech line. For a while I did them on every flourish. After a while the novelty wore off and now I do one maybe once a minute.
I think the flag type props really only work well on the flowing dances anyway... lyrical, formal, etc, so you get the nice trails going. I tried them in popular and was underwhelmed at the effects....
The new dance is cool, though I am having a bit of trouble figuring out what song it goes to. Any suggestions?

Personally, I was unimpressed with the props and new flash affects. It may be that my settings are so low that i can not properly see them.. but as it is now.. Meh..
I did Like the new Dance, and the Xp change is great.. As it turns out the total Entertaine Xp needed to Master one profession is almost exacly half of the reqired Dancer/Musician Xp. So new peopel wont end up being 0440 and still working on the other 2 lines.

I think Bunduki is going to depend on how you dress and prop, for the impression you get on it.
I have a fleshwrap that I pair with sandals and a pullover. Add swords to that, and it looks very tribal -- I plan to use it in some RP.
Add glowsticks, and dress in something tight-fitting and black, and it makes me think of modern-dance, artsy-poetry stuff. 
Fun either way, thought!

I like the new dance.. I must admit.. but thats all I'll say good for now.. till I see what else they do for dancers... or whatever

Fun stuff, but yeah, total fluff. The clipping on the props is horrible! I look like I'm slicing myself in two when doing Formal with flourishes anda sword.
Oh, and for your own safety, you might want to wear a helmet to the Theed cantina on Tarq. My swordsmanship could use some work.

*sighs*
I like dancing in an empty cantina. Fills my heart with such joy,
not having to worry about afk bots anymore, nor customers.
Although I was never thrilled with being just added to friends list
because I was a dancer who wasnt afk, I will miss seeing the new people
as they come through.
Our Corr praised this publish greatly, so I will give it a week, our of respect
for them.

Try Swing, it usually seems that they release a dance/music combo that at least kind of work together.

I can't wait to get home tonight to create some props. I am definitely going to look into wielding two torches, I think that would be a very cool look.

Actually - it took me a bit - but once I got the timing down a bit on flourishes for the new dance and then added the props - I really grew to like it.. Granted it's not the best for a player city cantina - cause it uses alot of room.. But I think it would look awesome in a player city Theatre.. Now to think of a cool outfit to go with the dance too.. hmmmm ponders
Oh and I love most of the props too..
