The group had just been fighting for hours and to a person each and every one of them had needed to be at their best to keep the group alive. One mistimed heal, one state not applied and the final objective would not have been met. Now victoriious the group exhausted from the fighting begin to feel the very real need to wind down after the intense gaming session and maybe take a second to chat with each other and catch up on current OOC or RP character to character relationships. One of them speaks up in group chat, "Hey, lets go hit the cantina and heal up."

The weary fighters all hop on their swoops and tear off to the local cantina. Once inside they all find a couple of entertainers in there. One of them appears to be AFK this causes the group to grumble and bemoan the state of the game where such a thing is possible. The other entertainer is dancing away and greets them all and asks what happened to them that cause so many wounds. Laughing and smiling the group happily brags of their last two hours of intense gaming. Each of them remembering something that they did or they saw one of the group members do that stood out.

The entertainer smiles and speaks of a similar experience he heard about from another player while at the same time making a quick costume change and dance change accompanied by a flash of light effects. The group cheers him and tells him that it looked amazing how he did that. With a smile he demonstrates another trick of dancing to them while also directing a quick smile and wink to the female group member. The female character giggles and returns his smile.

Then one of the group members speaks up that he has been healed for a while and the others also realise that they are fully healed up. With a genuine round of thanks and an exchange of credits to the smiling entertainer the group reforms for another round of combat. Perhaps with their previous success they might try something harder? The group now ready to fight heads out with a round of good byes from the entertainer and a feeling of being welcome to return and recieve more healing when they are done.

thank you

and omg my name in a post title. Bonus points for you! I'm like totally famous now.

So basically you'd like us returned to being part of the healing of SWG? Like we were before the mind buff and holo grinding afkers and all that other stuff.

I was a beta tester and a first day entertainer player. The healing/post combat role is what drew me to the profession and drove me to pay to play here.

Dancing was what hooked me. I didn't play beta and really didn't want to play SWG but my boyfriend is very very sneaky and when I got home ran to a cantina to show me the characters dancing.

G: Dancing you say?

I: yes goldy you can dance as a full class in this game.

G: sweet I claim this game as mine, go buy your own.

I: I already have...

.. told you he was sneakery. Unfortunately I misunderstood our full role (I was a bard in DAoC) and ran out into the field with Illiam and while he was trying his hardest to kill a corellian butterfly with his CDEF pistol, I was dancing idiotically in the background thinking I was helping him. lol.

ahhhhh memories.

I do miss the healing portion. I liked being the healer of so many folks, I was a master dancer / master doctor. Right now I think we're just floaters with no real purpose in the game. They gotta give us something to do. I started the game drawn by the dance, I still love to perform but I need to have a function in this little galaxy I call my home, too.
