Dear All,

I don't really know any of you in game or out of it, but I've very much enjoyed taking part in the discussions here...so I just wanted to say a quick goodbye.

Although I enjoyed the game very much at first, there are a lot of things that have been getting me down, and the game just isn't fun anymore.Rather than moan and complain about it, injecting negativity and spoiling things for people who are happy here, I've decided the best idea is to just quit. So I'm cancelling my subscription and going back 'home' to DAoC. I'm not going to rule out trying SWG again sometime in the future when the game has matured (and I hope the game goes on the be a great success for all concerned), but I suspect that it simply isn't my kind of game.

Thank you all for the help and advice you've given here. (You should all be proud of yourselves...this is one of the most sensible, creative and supportive game-related public boards I've ever been to, and I think that's a very good reflection of how many really nice people take up dancing). And a special thank you to Ravenmist for all the hard work on our behalf -- keep it up . I wish everyone the best of luck -- I hope you get all the dancing fixes that you need and deserve, and have great fun entertaining the galaxies .

Most of you know who you are. It's been a blast but SWG no longer holds fun for me, respect for folks who just want to flame and CSRs who can't find their way out of a paper bag. The game is now as useful to me as a chocolate fireguard (actually, that's probably more tasty too :-) ).

So, so long, farewell and I'll see you all in a Galaxy as Far Away from this one that I can find.

reconsider!

the next 2-3 months are gonna be an absolute riot.

first we had the "Holo" nation.

now we have the "Post 9 Unlockers"

and soon the come, the "Vilage People"

hang on for the entertainment value alone!

To the too few jedi I hunted in my brief time as a bounty hunter, I bid you a fond farewell.

I will always thing back and smile at the rush of adrenaline I got when I started the fight, the frantic scrolling through my toolbars to find a longer ranged weapon or an emergency blob candy to let me keep shooting.

I took down a few afk grinders, that was profitable but not fun.

When fighting an atk jedi, I lost more that I won, but I had fun every single time.

I'm truly sorry that this game will be going more for the 10 year old crowd, I had a blast when I was playing.

Governor Tarkin: The Star Wars: Galaxies community will no longer be of any concern to us. I have just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the community permanently. The last remnants of the dedicated fan base have been swept away.
Commander: But that's impossible. How will the Emperor maintain server population without the fan base?
Governor Tarkin: The CSR's now have direct control over the forums and servers. Fear will keep the fanbois in line. Fear of this NGE.

It's too bad that the Jedi vs BH aspect couldn't have been done better, and that some bad experiences didn't overshadow the fun ones.

Hopefullly see youon the battlefield.
