Brenlo has made an announcement about the future of multiple character slots here.

Get ready to double your fun. In the coming months, every active player will get two characters per galaxy spread over four different galaxies (eight total max)! Stay tuned for more information.

Interesting. I wonder if they'll allow character transfers to fill the second slot. Because if so, I have a few toons that are getting moved.

Looks like I'll be grinding dancer all over again...because this girl has already decided to go combat. But at least I can have both..

I have to say this is the best news that has come our way in quite some time....IMHO. I can now have the template I want...just with 4 characters instead of two.

I have to give up dancer on Deedle-Ana...but at least I can regrind it with another alt.

Hey Zina.....look out.

I wonder what "coming months" means in SOE time though.....6 months? lol

So...about these additional character slots. For the existing Jedi who already have an extra character slot, does that mean that we getanother one in addition to the one we earned through the jedi grind?
