I don't follow these forums very much but am I the only one who really want all entertainer professions to be removed from the silly holocrons?

Yes

Well, actually no, but I for one am very happy to see other people in the profession, and the quest for Jedi is why I didn't drop dancer when my available skill points dried up.

Jedi aspiration motto #6: "Master, then move on"

Side note: does anyone know anything about the new mastery badges out on the TC, i.e. if I had a previous mastery do I get a badge retroactively once they publish the update?

Almost all my friends who were "real" entertainers have dropped it and quit because of AFK holocron entertainers completely taking over every cantina that isn't completely empty

From what I've heard on the mastery badges.. Any professions you are CURRENTLY a master of you get a badge for (Though this is up for debate, it wasn't clear) and any you were a master of in the past, no badge. (With the current ones anyway you could drop master and retrain it, assuming you could get the apprentice points)

...is switching to riflenot due to a holo or for templating purposes? (Although my stacked melee defense in the interim while having the CXP branches of both rifle and pistol is pretty nice...)

1.) I've grown tired of being a master pistoleer. There's just only so many times you can use disarmingshot2 to double damage a lair/base and its mobs, fanshot or body shot 3 in PvP, etc.

2.) I've always wanted to target the mind pool...ever since being totally erasedin PvP via a rifleman or TKM.

3.) Frankly, if I want to keep master doctor, it's either rifle or carbine. Rifle first, carbine if I get bored again later.

4.) I enjoyed the nuances of learning pistol. I look forward to the same in rifle.

Sorry for wasting the last 30 seconds of your life.

Actually it was only about 26.8 Seconds...

But good luck on your journy, and stick with it to Master, that's where it gets very nice.
