There is a great oppertunity in the CU but I think its not even being considered.
Using the "registration" function that all dancers get with novice, there is a way to pay dancers to work.
Here's how- You register at a cantina then for a maximum of 2 hours per the 24 hour period you get paid while you are at the loaction (pay out is when you unregister- leave normally).
The payout would be 20K per hour forfor each dancer title you hold. There aresix possible dancer titles (from novice to master) so a Master would get 120K per hour and a Novice would only get 20K per hour. Why 120K for top end? Well a Master Rifle could easily earn that much in an hour running missions so IHO it equals out. However its limited to only 2 hours in a 24 hour period, so a buff bot can't run all day long churning out money. In fact it has to be attended to daily to de register and re-register or else it makes zero money after that first two hours.
The game would pay this money out its not coming from other players. You would be working for the house. This is a point I really like becuase individual buffing had always seemed like some weird form of lap dancing. I want to play a dancer and not a stripper!
Also, while this is the base idea it could always be modified with things like group size, number of people that watch the group affecting the hourly rate as well.
Anyhow, this is my idea. What do you all think?

Personally I think it's a great idea.
Unfortunately I think it's as likely they'll impliment this as they will get rid of buf bots.

It makes absolutely sense that you get paid for the gig, not by the people who come into the location and don't do anything but watch you... With /watch, or just on there screen.
The problem with this is, it would require cantina owners (leaving theaters out since you cannot dance on stage and use the game functions given to you) to pay for the gig and have control over who may register and who may not.

I personally don't really like the idea of yet another place in the game for a massive influx of credits from outside the system can come pouring in as it would really start to mess with the economy.
I may be wrong but I think it was supposed to be
Combat loot/missions 90% of credits into the system and then the spend it to buy things from crafters and what not. Who then spend it on resources and parts and harvest maint.
I mean I would love to be able to make that kind of money as an Ent... and while I think that designing us to rely on tips was not the best move I really don't think we should be flooding the system with more credits at the rate a combat player can put them into the system.(and with the CU changes I envision prices shooting up for a lot of things and more credits flowing into the system just raises prices even more, making the game more of a grind for new/poor players that want to buy anything.)

Actually I spend a lot more credits as an entertainer than I do as a combatant. I used an ADK on my rifle so purchasing new weapons isn't a big expense. I've had the same composite armor 4 piece set for.. hmmm... I don't even remember when I bought it but it was probably about 4 months ago. I've successfully repaired it 3 times. But as an entertainer, I maintain a cantina and 2 houses. I'm constantly buying clothes, art, accarragm, droid batteries and paint kits for my speeder. As a master rifle twi I can easily make 100K in an hour of hunting, and I do mean easily. Since the average buffs last 3 - 4 hours, a master level combatant can expect to make at least 300K per buff session. I don't think having entertainers making half that amount is going toderail the game economy. Last week I spent 1 million plus credits buying crafting resources. I spent one day hunting on Dantooine taking picket missions (not even the highest paying missions) and I've already made most of that back.
However, I'd prefer a more interactive payment system such as requiring we use the mission terminals rather than just have the cantina handing out credits. Ithink it would be tooeasy for people to set up their automaton, register and then walk away and come back 2 hours later just to collect the money. If they scaled the mission payout amount for level and for group size and made the payout amounts on par with (or even half of) what combat missions pay then every entertainer could be faced with the "I can't fit any more stuff in this house so I need another house"dilemma

I would really hate for you to "Grammar, Spelling Police" my posts.
English not being my original language, I still just make it up as I go along....
And as for my opinion on the original suggestion, I likeIkewe's use of the Terminals better. It would only pay those who are there the whole time rather then someone who Alt-Tabs to their other account every 2 hours or so.

I'd rather have your honest opinions than perfect spelling & grammar.

Wahini; "the word is spelled "opportunity""
Yes, and sentences usually start with a capital letter and end with punctuation.

I like getting tipped, I honestly do... but it would be oh so nice to get paid from the system from dancing in the cantina. Missions already give the option, the only problem is you have to run all the way out to a mish term and roll. I want an option inside the cantina. Hopefully,in one of the back rooms behind the bar.

I agree with Panthu that it would be nice to have a mission terminal actually inside the cantina - especially in Moenia where they have those stupid town thugs spawning right in front of the cantina. Those dorks try to kill me everytime
I'd also really like to see them put a mission terminal at ALL the cantinas. That way entertainers can spread out more and still have the opportunity to get paid for a mission.
