Has anyone actually tested out masterdancer/Master Musician to see if there's any actual changes to the buffs at those levels we cant see yet? I've got my master dancer on Bria... But cant find anyone to help me test out what ever the heck replaced mindbuff.

We don't have a replacement for the mind buff yet. The Inspiration buffs replace the mind wound healing as our base skill. We don't yet have a higher function.

Oh glee. Not that I care -that- much mind you. But I mean if their going to kill all the things Master Musicians and Dancers had going for them... at least give us a skill point cost reduction maybe?
I'll wait and see. But so far it seems like ents are getting the least attention out of the entire CU.

Well -- don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled either -- but what does the C in CU stand for again?
That's right.
And do we count as combatants? Nope.

What it should NOT stand for is "break everything not in the scope of CU for an indefinite period". And as it stands, I consider Musician and Dancer very much broken, because we each have at least (not counting Tech here) one skill branch that serves nofunction at all and yet takes xp to fill and skill points to get.
And not fixing this before the CU goes live because "It isn't combat" is in no way acceptable.

I don't recall saying we weren't broken or being broken.
I also don't recall ever saying I liked the changes.
I just don't know at what point people started thinking anyone and everyone's problems would be magically fixed by an upgrade that only addresses one portion of the playerbase as an "upgrade".
That wasn't meant as an attack on you, although reading back on it now it could be interpreted that way I guess. So I apologize, it didn't come out sounding right.
So let me try again, okay?
What I was trying to say that even though it's very probable that anything they break with the CU won't be fixed until long after (including our useless skill boxes), that doesn't mean we should have to accept it.
It's not as if breaking entertainers (as an example - the same point could be made about most crafters) is by necessity a side-effect of any Combat Upgrade. Instead, it is the result of poor and hurried design and implementation, and that's in addition to their usual lack of communication or respect for their customers. And even if we have to live with that for the time being, for me it's still a matter of principle to not just go quietly back into my corner and wait until the deign to show me some attention.
"You broke us with the CU, so fix us again"
"When will you be fixing us?"
"Are you fixing us yet?"
This bears repeating time and time again, until they actually do fix us. Yes, it should be said in a civil and constructive manner, but it should be said. Promises of "we will get back to you" just don't do it for me - not coming from these Devs anyway, because my trust in them has long since evaporated.

This is very true, and absolutely right. Fixing one class shouldn't mean breaking another. It's not right, and it's not fair.
I'm just tired of screaming right now. I'm hearing awful, awful things about TC, and honestly -- at this point, I am going to step back and pray they don't at -least- frell up the combat part of it beyond all repair. Because if they do, they'll -never- get to us.
I am going to give them their three weeks to fix the horrible mess they've made of combat. AFTER that, I will be an incessant, annoying little blue Twi, just like always.
All I can think of sometimes is how, when I was a kid, and I'd be told to clean my room... somehow, in the middle of doing so, it always looked worse than it did when I started. This is by no means a justification for what they're doing. More like an explanation of my own frustration with it.
When it comes down to it, I spent the first three weeks after the initial announcements launching into a tirade anytime anyone mentioned the CU near me. Consequently, in the past two weeks or so, I've managed to work myself up to a ridiculous level of stress, and over what? A bunch of programming. Granted, it's programming I think of with good memories, anda collection of pixels I think of as a blue version of me, but still -- it's programming.
When I let something that hasn't even happened yet stress me to the point of anxiety attacks, I need to find a way to chill out about it.
So that's my approach. Stuff my head in the sand and wait until it's released. Then, instead of screaming "you're going to break it, you're going to break it", I can scream "you broke it! You broke it!" and beat them about the head with my NS bicep.
I hope that came out as a bit friendler than the last post. I've stayed up way too long past my bedtime, but I can't sleep.

I live in Vienna - a very boring place when it comes to cookie diversity. But then we have our own brands of chocolates and other sweet stuff you don't get anywhere else, so it's not that bad
You can get decent brownies here if you know where to look, but what's Code Red??
