Thread: Its time to give up the fight when..

I know how you feel.
I'm rather ashamed to say I have guild mates who both go to AFK buffbots for buffs, and (sigh) have done the whole LAME thing themselves. I don't even want to show my face in the cantina when they are in there doing the AFK thing. And the worst of it is, KSF is, in theory, a roleplaying guild.

I agree but there is a big but.
Wait does the post make my but look big?
The game has evolved to where buffs are needed to do combat. While the CUmay fix that, it's true for now. So, people that just want to hit NPC's on the head or PvP aren't much interested in social interaction and so they want a quick buff with no interaction so they can go fight.
To me this means that it isn't any kind of isssue about you or buffs its about there desire to get out to fight quickly. I have high hopes that perhaps the CU might fix this in a fashion by going to area buffs.
So, I guess I am saying (or is it rambling?) that their failure to use you for buffs has absolutely nothing to do with you but rather is reflective of their play style? If that situation is upsetting to you maybe it is time to move on to a PA that focuses more on Roll Playe than on combat?
This all may be true, but everyone in my guild knows how I feel about buffbots.. they know I dispaise them, yet they activly TELL me they are going to one.. They also all recieved an email telling them where I would be that night if they wanted buffs (At a Tri weekly ATK entertainer party)
Pfft..
I just give up.
Edit: Not hte profession.. just trying to convince these Combat Monkies that their actions do affect other people and that its not all ME ME ME ME!

Honey, that's my point. It seems like you need a new PA. If you are on Tempest please come to War-R, they don't treat me like this.

I agree - if they slap you in the face like this, and are unable to understand your concerns, or unwilling to respect your stance, leave them.
