that does make sense, maybe i am confused. the theatre is a pretty large building, is there actually a stage and seating inside the building?

ya, i'm familiar with all those areas. i thought there would be a stage inside also, with a large area for seating/furnitue, considering the size of the structure. i was looking for something that just isnt there

Yes, it took me a bit of looking around in player theatres at first to find my way around as well. And I was a bit disappointed as well. *shrug*

But... here's one to quietly get my next mini-crusade going, albeit probably fruitlessly...

I want player theatres like the large "guildhall" theatres in static cities. Wow! What a room! Talk about a show hall! Give me that, and I'll trade in ummm.... a lot. Give me a guild management terminal in that building, and I won't even ask for a christmas present for myself or any member of LIVE Entertainment, my entertainer's guild, this year. Let me place objects on that stage, and have a seperate access permission system for the stage and backstage areas, and Santa can keep my christmas presents for life.

It's an ampatheater so the outdoor stage and the 3 ramps outside are the stage and seating area, you can get on the stage from the little back room. You also can not heal in theaters (unless this has been fixed) nor can you place items on the stage including nargle horns and ommni boxe's. I do hope they get fixed someday.

You mean make it a PA Hall that only Dancers or Musicians could drop? Wow, that's a pretty cool idea. A lot of Dancers already "hold" their guild's hall... this would be a really nifty reward for that.

Yeah, call me silly, but I had hoped that the player city theater would be a miniature version of the static city theater as well. While the outdoor style is kinda cool, it is considerably smaller than I was expecting, and the fact that you can't heal BF and can't place any items on stage makes it disappointing and almost useless as an entertainment venue. There are also night time lighting issues with it, and the fact that the structure's name can not be seen anywhere - not on the building and not on the overhead map. It only exists on the structure maintenance terminal. They really need to do some more work on these theaters to make them worthwhile structures. Maybe while they're at it they could also add either a back room or basement to the cantina for storage. I need some place to put my extra outfits! (Oh wait - maybe THAT'S what the theater is for ...)

Oh please, oh please...

Now, I know that there aren't all that many PA leader/dancers to make it a major community issue, but there has been some discussion in the PA forums about the idea of adding guild terminals to other types of structures as an alternative to the 9 lot hogs. If there was a better type of indoor theatre structure for players that looked more like those gorgeous rooms in the static cities (even on a smaller scale), I'd gladly continue to use 9 lots for something that strong and the same size as an existing PA hall. Add the ability of having a guild terminal there, I think you'd see some pretty happy entertainer PA's. Non-entertainer PA's might well find a good use for a large stage as well, perhaps even just to have more variety in our guildhalls.

Give me astage light control panel that can be operated by Master Entertainers to provide light shows along the lines of our flourishing system (stage light effects 1-8, or more), and now I can do a world of entertaining, and throw another reason to master the Entertainer profession inas well... I'd even trade inmy easter candy for next year for that.

Perhaps there could be a bit of cross-forum support for new guildhall buildings, and/or addition of guild terminals to other types of existing buildings?
