Sort of the feeling now since I have personally been spoiled by the 1 minute buff system, 3 minutes now seem to long and 4ever that I just usually eat 1 ahrisa and 1 brandy, i mean heck its not worth paying for a mind buff if its just for pve like I use to =) I do it only for pvp and other than that I just don't bother saying hello to the mind bufferes, just takes too long doing it for 3 minutes and sometimes they even bug out that i have to wait even longer!
Is this feeling consential with the community? its amazing the nerf bat was swung at the dancers & musicians, simply amazing.
So since the time for the mind buff has went up, and it has a slight bug, has business go down for the dancer / musician community?

This was not a nerf, and quite frankly, it would have happened whether we wanted it or not. It was merely the old AoE attack exploit that was redone for entertainment. It was a loophole in the code that allowed for packing more flourishes in a shorter amount of time than would normally have been the case. So I am sorry that you do not want to use dancer services, but I'm afraid that this is a change that had to happen.

Quite frankly, for hunting groups, entertainer buffs are the best thing that can happen. Group buffing, no queue, double unhealable pool. If someone goes up the corvette without one, he will probably get his ass handed. And I have seen many groups who did not even considered an entertainer buff until my CM practically refused to go without the group being buffed. If you die because of your mind up there and you had no buffs but just some drinks that you could have had on top, you have no business whining about the difficulty level.
Edit: The last successful group I went with had both buffs. We paid 20K normal price ( cheap if you ask me, but I don't argue if it's in my favor *g* I tipped her an additional 10K ) and everyone tipped about 5K. For ten people that's 80K for twenty minutes and a shuttle ticket to meet us.
I think our buff would be in high demand if people were more educated about it. It helped tremendously and I guess the guys will tip 10K each next time because that made us go the extra mile up there. It's just that a cantina full of boring AFKers is not suited to educate people about what we have to offer. Plus some fighters are downright dumb. I have seen hunts where people went down 6 times in a row for mind and still did not think that a helmet or buff or brandy might be in order.

Brandy is nice, but it takes stomach space, costs money, and stacks with music/dance buffs anyway. Why not get both? 3 minutes or 5 minutes is a trivial amount of time. When I fight, I enjoy stopping by the cantina to hang with the entertainers for a few.

My business has not gone down a single bit since the "nerf" as you call it. And frankly, no one has complained about the 4 minutes I take to buff them.

My belief is that this is the main point when it comes to player's complaints about our buffs. Not everyone knows that 5-10 minutes of their time would go a long way toward making or breaking a successful combat operation. I know personally, if I have both buffs, I don't have to worry about a lot of downtime while I am hunting, because it seems like the mind pool is the most fragile, and having it buffed as much as possible (with ent. buffs, food, drink...They ALL stack) enables extended stays in the field.
If only more people knew and understood.

I don't know why people complain about that, they never knew about this bug before until someone started to spam "30 seconds dancer buff!", before that, people always had to wait 5-10 mins depending on the time they wanted for their buffs, and now they complain about something they call "nerf", I personally think it would be better for the people if they set the min, time to 5 mins (to get the 1 hour buff) so people can understand that this game is a mmoRPG and the enterteiners are the profession that keep the interaction with the people.

Yeah, it was a loophole (read: exploit) being closed, not a nerf in the true sense. Still, the fact that so many people were doing it, and so many of their clients expected it, should indicate that there is a need for much speedier buffing capability.
You could argue convincingly that the problem is one of education. Sure, it takes us much longer to administer a buff than it does for a Doctor to do his thing, but he HAS to work one at a time, while we can buff the whole group at once. If more combatants were fully aware of THAT, they'd realize that it actually takes less time to the get the whole group buffed at once by a Dancer (or better, Dancer/Musician team), than it does for everyone in even a small party to get buffed one-by-one by a doc.
The problem is that in pick-up groups on Dath, for example, people tend to get very antsy, not wanting to wait to head out while their groupmates spend 5 minutes getting buffs, and not realizing that it doesn't have to be 5 minutes PER PERSON, but 5 minutes total. The key to this is volume, and making our clients aware that that is the key. Thus, it falls to us to promote ourselved differently than Docs do.
Don't spam out, "Mind Buff, 100% for 2 hours, just 5 minutes and 5k," or whatever. Make your pitch, "GROUP Mind Buffs...Buff your whole group 100% for 2 hours, just 5 minutes and 10k!!" Not only do you offer a bargain for the client, and increase the likelihood of a sale, but you also educate the ignorant about just HOW our buff application works best.
Arguably, the time necessary for a single-person, /setperform buff could be reduced by half or so, to cut down on the line-time at busy places like Dath. (AndGod knows, anything that reduces thenumber of characters being rendered at any given moment in the outpost on Dath is a plus). But the real bargain and functionality in performer Mind buffs is in group buffing, not in one-at-a-time operations.
