Ooooh, good timing Zola. Oddly enough, I was just working on a possible idea to test in the correspondent forums about hotels. I have a guess that hotels were made with a lot of room for future expansion in mind. With all of our talk lately about using these structures, I thought this might be a great time to start talking about whatthat expansion might be.
It seems to me that these places might be perfect for private events. Now that we have our first instanced based dungeon in game, we know there is some existing code to work with. There might even be enough room for something as complicated as buying a "hotel key" or "guest passes" for a banquet hall, conference room, or even a party suite. It sounds both insanely fun and useful to me!
At the same time, I'd like to see our entertaining options for hotels expanded. Not only registering for the location, but also the ability to really be booked for hotel events! I'd love to see dance troupes hired for a Merchant Guild Conference or Wedding Receptions through a real booking agent NPC. 
This would be a very large undertaking, even with the existing instanced dungeon code... but I'd love to ask if this was a possibility if you guys think it is worth looking into! The idea may already be planned or have been mentioned before, but they haven't felt like it was time yet. What do you all think?

Well, honestly, I do too, lol. I wrote a big long colorful all encompassing proposal (I think it was last month) based on a Show Biz line that would deal with this possible aspect. I would love to see a whole new Ent career that really expanded on Money Matters and Promotions... but I tried suggesting how it could work with our current classes (ID, Dance, Music, Ent).
It didn't go over very well. *blush* Maybe it would now though! Maybe it really does have to be a whole new career, I just thought that would be harder to get and I like the idea of an all over ent skill. Though,I am just so in love with any idea that helps promote our Show People role that I think I'm a little biased. 
What do you guys think? Any takers?
And this sounds like something right up Doasa's alley! I suspect my own darlingRoho would at least dabble in the field of entertainer promoter! Grin!

I think it is a great idea as well. Making good use of the large amount of non-grinding dancer's and musicians would make alot of people happy. Buffing is fine, but it can get incredibly repititive. I would love teaming up with a Dancer & Musician Troupe to entertain people, NPC or real players.
