Thread: loopless buff macros

Hi,
though I had the intention never to use macros while dancing, the constant urge for buffs lead me to write some anyway. The problem is simple. Most people just don't accept when you tell them they shall watch approximatlely ten minutes and they will have a buff of at least 1:30 hours afterwards.
The two main macros (each with several sub macros) were written to to buff the audiance without repeating myself over and over. The choreographie isn't really finished yet and espacially the version for use without quickness or stamina buff has some too long pauses. I am sorry to present unfinished business here, I hope you find the ideas useful anyway (and possibly even post approvements which would be appreciated very much).
The idea was to to differ between visible and invisible flourishes. Visible flourishes are those that are actually executed and are divided into submacros, choreographically belonging together. Between the visible flourishes a submacro "flofill" is executed of two or four flourishes that are not actually performed.
The first (and more bugged) version I am going to present is to be used without being buffed youself. It consists of 26 visible flourishes, each with two additional invisible flourishes. The dance is basic, since this dance uses fewest action points of all (a undervalued dance imho). The time from visible flourish to visible flourish is currently set to 18 seconds, which could become shorter in most cases. The total time is therfore 7:48 minutes and the buff (theoretically) 124.6 minutes. To debug it I used a chat channel called sdebug. You might want to remove the lined for that, or create a similiar channel.

The second macro is based on popular2. It consist of 21 visible flourishes (each with 4 additional invisible flourishes. Each visible flourish takes 11 seconds, which is quite good, but could be improved. The time for it is therfore 3:51 seconds, the theoretical bufftime is 128.1 minutes. Please replace "sharven" with your own characters name in the macro. You should not use it unbuffed:

That's nice and all but also can be made simpler, and still take only just overfor a buff, without doc buffs or food, depending of course on your toons spieces, and your stats are set up.

Mines very basic and easy to run, I run just 3 macros to achive this.

Before I start the buff macro I make sure I sak the parton(s) if their watching me and not listening to a musician at the same time, if they are then I start the macros

Macro1:

/startd Popular (1 or 2 doesn't matter, as is the highest to use for buffing without major action loss)

/flo 1;

/flo 2;

/flo 3;

/flo 4;

/flo 5;

/pause 8;

/flo 6;

/flo 7;

/flo 8;

/flo 1;

/flo 2;

/pause 8;

/flo 3

/flo 4;

/flo 5;

/flo 6;

/flo 7;

/pause 8;

/flo 8;

/flo 1;

/flo 2;

/flo 3;

/flo 4;

/pause 8;

/flo 5;

/flo 6;

/flo 7;

/flo 8;

/flo 1;

/pause 8;

/flo 2;

/flo 3;

/flo 4;

/flo 5;

/flo 6;

/pause 8;

/flo 7;

/flo 8;

/flo 1;

/flo 2;

/flo 3;

/pause 8;

/flo 4;

/flo 5;

/flo 6;

/flo 7;

/flo 8;

<end macro 1>

Now second macro you can simply just copy the first macro, but in first line you'll want to put

/pause 64;

<then copy of first macro, without the /statd poplar line of course>

Third macro is basicly the same as the second, but with 1 extra set of florishies, and first line being

/pause 128;

2nd to last line I personally use in the 3rd and final macro is to send myself a message saying the buff is over with, and final line is to tell the pardon(s) that the buff process is over with, is a simple /say line.

If anybody wishes to use this fell free to do so, if any problems just contact me via a PM.
