Anyone else think that you should be able to get healing xp reguardless of your group status?
With the current state of Afking and Bots.. its quite hard for an ATK entertainer to get healing xp because the leaders of the larger bandgo afk forcing ATK entertainers to form smaller groups who some times don't attract asmany people...
If your Dancing in Coronet.. and there is a 15 person group with an AFk leader.. and yourin a 2 person group... what are the chances that somone will watch you or your partner perform? What if you playlate at night and the groups leader has gone to bed? Whatabout if you want to group up with a small circle of friends so that you can do band flos and actually perform..
Healing Xp should be divided among ALL performers in a given cantina Reguardless of who is being watched.
Bots and Akfers ROB true performers of Healing Xp.. this would be one way of giving it back

Is it fair that the percentages make it more likely that members of a larger AFK group will be watched or listened to? Not at all. Howeverwith both Kirah and Shianne, I make it a point to be the one watched. I can dance by myself and takemost if not allofthe XP away from the the AFK group simply by being chatting and entertaining. With Kirah it's easy because she's a master dancer and players will automatically /watch her for quicker BF and mind woundhealing. But, even with Shianne, who is just at the Choreographer level, I make it a point to gain the attention of anyone who walks into the cantina.I've even had people who were live and members of the group with an AFK leader disband and join with me.
Fair? No. Workable? Yes.

Also consider that AFK play is going away, so maybe this will be a moot issue before too long. Still I support the group bonuses as incentives for entertainers to group.

Well if AFK play is going away then yes its moot... I'm not saying take away the bonus for being in a group, just making it so that people who don't want to (or can't) get into a band can still get some healing Xp.

If AFK really does go away (somehow I doubt it), it will be interesting to see what dynamics occur. At this point I think there are about 4 manned cantinas on Naritus -- Coronet, Theed, Dath Science, and Dant Mining. I rarely ever see anyone at any other locations. 90% or more of the people there are AFK. When those people are all gone (since they clearly aren't interested in actually being an entertainer), what happens to all the people who need healing?
As for getting heal XP... I am so glad I don't have to do that anymore. I probably would not have become a master dancer at all, if the situation when I got most of that xp was anything like it is today. The only thing I can suggest is to find a nice group of at-keyboard players, and try to hang with them as much as possible. If the healing XP is slow, at least the company will be pleasant, and the dancing will be enjoyable. I always played for the dancing (still do, when I am on my dancer account), not the experience points. Let the points come, or not, as they will. Enjoy the dancing, and the healing exp won't matter.

Personally I'd like to see Ent. Healing XP go away - period. I don't know if this will happen, but you never know. I'd like to see it replaced with something else that doesn't *require* us to be at the mercy of combat players to get. Combat players get all their combat XP on their own just doing combat. Artisans can get all the XP they need just making things (though they do get XP bonuses when other players take or use their items). I think Medics can get their healing XP by healing themselves (maybe I'm wrong on this - I've never noticed) but even if not and they have to get it all from healing others, often combat players, their skills tie very closely with combat so it's not difficult for them to find opportunities to get this XP. Even ID's can get XP by working only on themselves if they want, though they earn it twice as fast working on others. Ent. Healing may be one of the few or only types of XP in the game that can be gained only through others. No one is ever required to /watch or /listen to you, and it doesn't matter how long you spend dancing or playing music, if you don't get that /watch or /listen, you will never get to Master (or Novice either for that matter). Now the reality, of course, is nowhere near that dire, still the fact that we require mind injured or fatigued players to come along and pay attention to us or our group does put this aspect of our leveling completely out of our hands and on top of that, it ties us too closely to combat (or pilot) classes that, game wise, we don't have all that much in common with really. How often do combat groups really *need* to take an entertainer along with them? A Doctor or Combat Medic is a welcome addition to most groups, yet an entertainer is not, and half of our leveling is tied to healing combat players.
What I would like to see instead is a performance based XP that we can earn even if we are playing in a remote cantina and no one ever visits. Then on top of that there could be bonuses to this XP by joining groups and gathering an audience and by healing mind wounds and fatigue. The way I imagine it, it would work more like a combination of Dance and Ent Healing XP work now. The Dance and Music XP could simply be earned in a more or less constant manner just by time spent dancing or playing music. Maybe there would be ways to increase the XP gain by being active like the way flourishes do now, and maybe the gain could be greater in groups. That's just my idea anyway. Hopefully we'll hear from the devs soon to see what their ideas are.

I'm levelling up music now (it's the BEST thing I've done in AGES, I haven't been this excited about anything in game a long time) and my problem actually isn't EH exp -- it's music exp. The only musicians I can find who don't disband every 3 minutes are my already-master friends who are being wonderful and playing/dancing with me to raise my exp and keep me company. But so far it's taken me over a week to get music 2 and 3 in the ent trees, while I've gotten near 30 - 40k EH exp (at least) while mostly doing music ('cept for a few dance buffs I did for people).
Just a tad bit frustrating
