ok..is it just me or is the spawn time gettin worse in the cantinas? For the last 2 days I've noticed one "patrol" hasn't even despawned before the next one spawns. And is it really necessary that the stormie spams the same thing 3 times before he moves on to the next insult. I dunno, seems to me if a pc did all this spam..and was reported enough as harrassment, we'd get suspended or am I wrong?
/scream
Someone give the dancers some good news..tell us that it's gonna be changed to like once an hour they spawn or something. It's gettin so nobody is coming in cantina anymore. (well except the faction farmers lol)
yea yea I know i'm whining, but between the afk'ers spamming, the stormie spam..it's really gettin hard to carry on a convo with the actual ATK entertainers, or the people coming in to heal.

I agree with you, it does seem to be worse. The Rebel troops are as bad.
Having said that, there were the occasional stretches of around 15 minutes when there were no searches, it was bliss!

I don't think it's all in your head, Kacy.
It seems to be getting worse. Lots worse. Even stupider, they don't seem to be able to differentiate between people who're factioned what. But that's neither here nor there.
They need to go away. It'd be one thing to just have them *there*. Watching, so to speak. Maybe the occasional "All clear" babble. But I really hope this isn't their idea of "immersion" or "content".

What cantinas does this happen in? I spend 99% of my time in the Theed cantina, and the only spawn we have is the stupid commoner.
On a side note, does anyone remember when people's Imperial faction pets (stormies and the like) used to talk? Constantly hearing "Move along. Move along." And "Can I help you, Citizen?" made me want to pull my hair out. Fortunately they made the stormies silent eventually.

Its just more spam to add on to the endless afk ent spam.
Unless its in group chat or some emote or chat directed to me I usually dont pay attention.

If I understand the new set up (which is in doubt) then the appearance of ST's or Rebel Guards will depend upon faction control of the planet.Last week I was in Theed on my server and there was a running firefight between Rebel SF players and StormTroopers. Now I spend most of my time in Moenia and any time someone enters the cantina a rebel guard will come in and scan someone for their outfit and what they are drinking. It gets really old really fast. My new plan is to spend no more than 30 minutes in any one cantina at a time.

Yep, just when you think playing the game the way we were designed to couldn't get anymore craptacular, the Devs find a way.
Thanks for ruining NPC cantinas EVEN MORE THAN WE THOUGH POSSIBLE, Devs, and oh yeah - for last week's phantom announcement, THANKS FOR NOTHING.

There are never ANY faction NPC's in or near the Theed cantina on Tarquinas. We do not get scanned or searched, at least not that I've ever seen, and I was in there for probably 6 straight hours yesterday, if not more. I wonder if it's random. Maybe I'll poke around the othercantinas tonight.

Same thing happens in theed on Bloodfin, no scans but we do have the attackable commoner.

I guess Theed must be under Imperial control on Eclipse, we have spamtroopers coming in almost constantly. It almost makes one long for the days for just having the AFK'ers - at least those can be ignored! Please, please, tell me that someone is looking into turning their spawn rate down. It's bad enough trying to have a decent conversation as it is - dev endorsed spam is just the end!

My guild did the Corvette on Intrepid tonight and afterwards, I danced in the Wayfar Cantina so the others could all get their minds and BF healed... and then continued for awhile after everyone else had left. One of my other guildies (who had not gone with us on the mission) came in just as some Storm Troopers entered to do a "check" of the cantina... and he was a Rebel Combatant. Well, he ended up fighting them (aided by the Jabba minions present) but eventually, was killed (along with all the Jabba guys). I had been unable to help him, so I just continued dancing. Once everyone else was dead, one of the stormies came up to me and said:
"You're here by yourself? That seems suspicious to me."
I had never seen one of them say that before, and I was the only one left there... so it seems that they CAN tell some things about the people present. You would think that they could tell other things as well.

On Bria, Theed is never searched, from my experience. Bestine, on the other hand, often has three stormtroopers standing in the same spot, all blabbering on about gods know what. It's really out of hand. The few Entertainers who do spend time on the GCW forums tried to get Aura's attention about this, but the thread is rather constantly buried due to all of the TEF whining.

Theed, Chimaera flips between Reb and Imp control. Regardless of who controls the city we get stormies performing searches every 40 seconds, the spam is horrendous.
Moenia, Chimaera is as bad, with Reb searches.
The cantinas are more and more deserted now. Late on a Saturday evening, Theed used to be buzzing, a great place to meet up and socialise. Last Saturday there was just me and my man. We had a sad reminisce about Entertainers in Space, when we would group up to do space missions, or for a stroll inside the vette.
It is going to take a long time to rebuild the atmosphere we used to have in there.
