Thread: Please re-examine the need for flourishes in buffing

maybe this was changed in a recent patch or something, but....
i have a master dancer who doesn't flourish at all, she's just there to heal mind wounds and cure battle fatigue. i watched her (grouped) for about 4 minutes. when i stopped watching, i got a full buff with full duration.

Umm if you get a mind buff the person is using flourishes.....

Read Tiaga's Hard Numbers on Buffing to see why you're getting a buff.

But 4 minutes, Scip? That's rather fast, when it was about 20 minutes before.

right. i'm saying please test this to make sure it's not a glitch. the rules may have changed in a recent patch

Ok, fair enough, that's an interesting time.
I guess I was more commenting on the claim that flourishes were needed to get *any* buff.
I'll have to think on this and see if I can think of what might be causing it.

4 minutes for a full buff?
Thats fast. According to my calculations you would need 10 minutes if you don't flourish.
6 xp-ticks per minute, 10 minutes long makes 60 ticks.
