* (Note) Emotes such as smile, laugh, cry and other /backslash commands are fine but long made-up emotes are not. Lightning effects and props should be used appropriately to enhance the routine. We want to see the dance not special effects.
Strive to make your entry "Creative and Unique"!
Judges will base their decisions on:
Stage Presence: Poise, charisma, charm, and overall stage appeal
Appropriateness of the costume(s), props, special effects, and emotes
Originality of Material: Creativity, uniqueness of the base dances and flourishes
Technique: Timing and transition of flourishes, base dance “changeover”
Style and Execution: Use of floor space, “flow” of the overall routine
Time allotment: Points will be deducted if the performance goes longer than 2 minutes or shorter than 1 minute. We won’t be timing the performances per se but it is usually pretty obvious if it goes over the time allotted.
Points will not be deducted from falling (since it is not under control of the performer).
Judges are looking at the total entertainment value and dance skills exhibited in each routine. Must show exceptional creativity along with the LOVE of DANCE!
Scoring:
Points will be given in each category
1-6 with 1 being the low and 6 being the highest
Scores will be tallied and the performer with the best score will be the winner.
Prizes:
1st place: 1,000,000 credits, sash, trophy and BE enhanced dancing attire (custom made)
2nd place: 400,000 credits, sash and trophy
3rd place: 100,000 credits, sash and trophy
All contestants who participate will receive an entry prize as well.
If you want to enter and are from another server, we can try to work it out so you can get your prize money on the server you usually play on.

Maybe you and Scip could do a special perfomance using the competition guidelines... just for show but not competing?

Feel free to use it. No one has signed up on Chilastra so it probably won't happen now. Lack of interest or maybe the cantina space is the problem. Try holding it in a theatre instead or better yet a PA hall. I always felt that the theatre stage is too far away from the audience (when I did the Miss Galaxy pageants). Good luck to you and I hope you get a much better response than I did.

I've been trying to put together a routine ever since you posted about the contest.. I haven't really wanted to enter beforeI knewI would have smth to present.
But I've really been looking forward to this event. Mostly because I've never really seen a real dance routine and I would love to see one.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can expect a mail from me as soon as I log in

Thanks Chiana, I appreciate help, I'm going to expand the format a bit to include dancers, musicians, and troupes so hopefully get more response. Its also part of my larger overall event thats to incluse a fashion show as well along with races, games ect Love all the new perks we got. I wonder if one of the pavillions could be used for the event, having it outside would allow more people to view, maybe set up some merchant tents next to it as changing rooms ect. Well good luck with your contest

I'm going to build a stage/theater in my PA hall and see how that works out.
