Thread: /setperform on group members? Is this a bug?
This occurred in our group last night. I don't recall seeing anything about this:
Master Dancer is in a hunting group in a Cantina. In order to ensure the Master Doctor in the group gets the best buff she does a /setperform on him (note, the Doc is in the the group already and would normally get the passive buff). After about 12-15 minutes of dancing the group heads out to hunt. The Doctor received no buff at all while the other members of the group received the passive buff.
Question: Does /setperform only work on people NOT in your group and if so, why does /setperform when put on a group member eliminate the passive buff?
The other day when I was in the entertainer group a master musician not in the group came in and did /setperform on me. I dont know if it worked because this was before I knew about the exit listening distance bug.
It would not surprize me if this were a bug, and since you're talking specifically about a master dancer I'd say next time just group the members that need the buff, you wont need to do a setperform on any of them. 10 minute wait and they should be buffed
i have been able to setperform in a group with no ill affects.
well, actually i can't say that. i've had people start watching (from inside a group) then i /setperform on them and the buff lasts the duration of everyone else's passive. but i have never had someone i targeted not recieve a buff.
a couple time's after i had cloned i tried watching dancers and recieved no buffs at all. could this be what happened?
