Thread: Ravenmist, I just had a sweet idea about the new buff!
Because of all the unknowns about how long the buff takes to implement, the amount of flourishes, ect.
Wouldnt it be cool if while we were targeting someone there is a little gauge that appeared by there name and as the buff was applied the bar on the gauge would fill up,Then we would know exactly when the the buff is ready.!
This is what I had in Mind..... a bar like when you get incapacitated but in reverse instead of going to 0 it would go to full when the buff was ready. Sounds simple enough to implement..What does everyone think of this Idea? ![]()
Err... Lyrical 2 is a master level dance. At least that's what it says on my skill tree in game ![]()
I tend to do the same thing, perform lyrical 2 since I've got a macro written for it that starts one flourish when the previous one completes animating.
I posted this in a different thread but thought I should repeat it here...since this is about timing. ![]()
As a Master Dancer on Corbantis I buffed a group of 10 today in 18 mins. I was passivily buffing 9 of the members when the 10th joined about half way through so I activly buffed him. This worked out really nicely so that everyone (grumbles under her breath...except myself) got double their mind. My husband, a Master Doctor, loves having 2000 mind. Tonight I am going to go overt and try the same thing with my guild members and see if the 125% will work or not.
To do this I have set up a macro for lyrical 2 (even though it is nota master level dance---exotic 4 gets boring with only 2 real flourishes and I hate doing flourishes that do not belong to the dance I am doing) and timed it. My macro lasts 2 full minutes so for a group I just run it10 times (yesI know it is one time more than necessary but I like to be certain everyone gets the benefit)and Voila! /stopwatch for the benefits. For an individual I do /setperform and do the macro 5 times just to be certain then tell them they are ready to go.
Not the best solution for timing but it works for now.

Oh and just to clarify...I do NOT afk macro I am always there talking and flirting when my macro is running. I do not berate those that do afk macro afterall if that is what they want to do then fine by me. I just prefer actively playing my character the macro is just so I can converse and flirt like a normal person while performing.

Yes, the meter idea is a great one. Someone else brought it up before on another thread and I'll say the same thing I said there basically.
Love the idea, might happen eventually, not anytime soon.
Basically a change/ addition like this is something thats going to be down the line a good ways once other more important issues for us and several other classes or sorted out and our dev has time to enhance features instead of adding/fixing them. So no promisses on this happening and if it does its going to be a while. It is a great idea tho. ![]()
What I did was make myself a macro to count for me (active buff about 10 min timer)
/say Starting timer now. I will let you know when to /stopwatch to receive your buff.;
/pause 300;
/say 5 minute marker. 5 minutes remaining.;
/pause 240;
/say 1 minute remaining.;
/pause 60;
/say Thank you! Your buff is now complete. Please /stopwatch to apply your buff. You are set for the next two hours. Good luck!;
From what i understood, the buff takes effect right away, it the amount of flourishes and the dance that determine how long it lasts. But yes, a timer or a something to that effect would be helpful in determining when the buff is going to last the full time.
