Ok, I had to share this scenario which happened to me last night.

I was on Yavin4 at the Labor Outpost in the cantina with some friends (a novice musician and master medic). The medic gets a tell requesting some wound healing so she calls him over. It looks like he'd died and not cloned as all 3 of his bars had a substantial amount of wounds.

The Medic asks .....let's call him Welcher....to watch me for a while to get his mind wounds healed before she takes him outside to heal his other wounds. Now this is where it gets a bit insane. Welcher, while watching me, starts to insult me - comments about my hair etc...AND I'M HEALING THE NUTTER. I'm grouped with the medic so she lets me know how much he's gonna pay her for her healing. I point out to him that I'm healing him too and if he's gonna pay me anything. He's now been cured and outside with the medic. He then starts threatening to kill me with his pet (I ask him how he's gonna do that as he can't unless we duel) then he starts going on how much he hates me etc...He pays the medic and leaves the outpost.

I relay what happened to the group. She (the medic) immediately puts Welcher on ignore.

I honestly would like to know where this attitude came from. Where one class can heal someone and get nothing but insults and threats, while another class heals and gets paid/compliments? And more importantly, how do we go about changing these attitudes?

Suggestions?

/deny him while in the process of healing. You don't have to heal him. There are a ss holes in every game, you just met one.

At this point I should have stop dancing, use deny service andtold your doctor friend and musician to stop healing him, then I would have accept the duel and teach him some basic Face Dancer moves such as knockdown, dizzy and wounds combo kicks, be sure to not death blow him in order to keep him on the ground.

Anyway, I'm curious..did he really insulted you without a reason ?

That was the bizarre thing. I was just dancing and he started insulting! I'd said nothing to him at all =/

No idea what to do with these sad people, I will never understand how/why someone would try and be so nasty to someone who is trying to help you..

I just take the advice you gave in Bestine today, regarding that young man who commented on my height... Add Ignore!

On my server one of my friends plays a female bothan dancer/tailor. She had her "master tailor" title on but was dancing (she's closing in on mastering that too). Well, a guy walked into the cantina, and called her "Mister." When she corrected him he basically said, "Well bothans are so ugly how can you tell?" Of course the player is not really bothan but she was insulted on her character's behalf. Then the guy goes over and pets her and calls her a "dog."

Well, the fun part is that a few minutes later he starts asking her to make clothes for him and what her prices are.

LOL..

Well, he got no clothes out of her. But yeah... I just do not understand why people have to be so rude.

What happened to that guy btw? I put him on /deny and /ignore pretty early in his rantings so didn't know what became of it all.
