Thread: AFK entertainer will never go away
I don't even see why it is a debate anymore. The devs are not going to force holocron players to spend weeks on a boring profession. Look at what they did to the investigation tree for bounty hunters, they increased the XP so the holocron players can reach the goal of master quicker. They are not going to change the system to get master entertainer, dancer or musician slower then it is now so get over it.
With good macros and resources anyone can grind through to master doctor or combat medic or any crafter profession in a day or less.I don't see what all the whining is about AFKing and even with 24 hour a day/7 day a night macros it still takesa week or more to master these super boring professions (dancer, musician, entertainer) with the only exception with image designer.
Sarcasm?
If not, I'd suggest you take your complaints some place where someone CARES that you find the professions most of have CHOSEN to pursue boring...
I can handle holocroners... I can handle most AFKers (exception being speech spam) I can NOT handle you whining that you're got to master a profession that you don't even have to be at the keyboard to do. So.. do us all a favor and put yourself on AFK macro while you're sleeping... so we don't have to listen to it.
You made the CHOICE to seek the FS slot.... take your whining someplace else.

Smells like a bit of a troll but I'll bite. I'll just macro the post I usually whip up for just such events.![]()

It's only boring if you don't enjoy it. To me, running missions and killing stuff all day is boring. Dancing and listening to the stories hunters bring back is fun. Who knows where you can find a rare resource in bulkin town? An ATK dancer can tell you because Minerman came by 5 minutes ago and mentioned to her that he just came from his harvester run. Anybody know a good image designer, a good tailor, a waypoint to a stocked weaponsmith, an honest slicer, or an architect? An ATK dancer does because they all filter through the cantina and they all end up talking to her, if only for a couple minutes.
I'll leave the "who does it hurt?" part to others. My guess is if you cannot see who it hurts, then you won't see who it hurts no matter what someone tells you (and not necessarily just grumpy but everyone who asks that question).
My advice is not to play a profession you don't enjoy ("you" meaning the player base, not anyone in particular). If you find crafting just something to grind through, chances are you aren't going to enjoy it any more when you're a master crafter. If you find dancing and standing in the cantina all day boring, you're not going to be any more satisfied with it at master. I don't think that being the best of the best is the point of this game (with the exception of PvP, where I guess it matters quite a bit). A master dancer still has to dance, a master crafter still has to craft, a master killer still has to kill. Things don't change all that much just because you colored in a new box.
Relax. Get to know some people. Take some risks and take your time. It's meant to be enjoyed, not endured.
