Thread: Ack... too many clothes... suggestions anyone?

Okay... so I like the clothes thing. I love changing clothes in a smokebomg, I love wearing clothing that matches the dance I'm doing (and I'm also master musician so I have a full set of clothing there). I have 3 colors I like and have matching suits in all of those... so yes, I have way too many clothes.

This brings up the problem, where do I put them all? I have three mouse droids and each can hold 10 items. I can hold my inventory full (I don't wear a backpack for obvious reasons). I have a house and a bank.

Well.. suggestions? I don't like using the house simply because it's harder to pick items up when they are in your house than it is to get them from a list in a container. (I wish we had wardrobe containers for houses)

I could keep them in my bank (And ususally do) but I'm actually getting to the point where I need more space than that.

So any suggestions you may have would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Tholena

Get 2 more MSE droids for 20 more items, put backpacks in your house and put the cloths in there, then you are just picking them up out of a container.

Get as many storage droids as you can but be carefull how you arange your items.

1. dancers look tacky in back packs so they are out

2. you have 60 slots on your inventory you will use 40 -50 of them for clothes. 40 when your travling a lot and pick up goodies along the way (a girl just HAS to shop). 50 when your dancing all the time. You need to leave 10 slots open for tips in the form of gifts and because what you are wearign doesn't count as inventory. So if your wearing shoes, shorts, shirt, necklace and two wrist items and you decide to wear your leotards and loose the wrist jewelry and your shoes you just GAINED 4 inventory items!

3. Now we get to your robots, when you need to drop to 40 store 10 items of clothing on one of your bots, all that extra storage is for two things. Dumping junk you dont need to dance on while your dancing and rarely used clothes like I keep one bathing suit on my robot just in case. Extra colors of items in your inventory can be stored in a droid too like I allways keep 1 leotard and 1 fleshwrap on me but have other colors in the robots. It is rare I spend much time using these clothes so I can get by with one color on me.

4. allways have at least 3 outfits on you, 1 pretty dress, 1 sexy outfit and one outfit that is suitible for dancing to rock.

5. Remember that you can not be sure your robot is availible to you at a moments notice. Even if you have it out in the cantina and parked to the side does not garnetee that your clothed are availible at a moments notice so keep the bulk of your clothes on your person.

6. Banks and houses are great for storing clothes that can replace what you are carrying with fresh looks an colors, but Murphy will ensure you are never near one of these places when you want somthing.

7. Try to buy some "core" clothing that goes with everything. Black and white pants and shorts are good for this. The more outfits you can make out of your mix ofclothes the better. This doesnt mean buy everything to match your other outfits because bold colors ar fun too!

8. Go through your inventory every time you are at your house or bank and swap out some clothes your getign a little tired of for fresh ones.

9. Never beashamed that you are a clothes junkie and are never quite happy with your mix of clothes

Oh, another thing. Always carry a backpack in your inventory. Don't have it equiped tho. Yes it takes an extra space, but if all of a sudden you need a whole lot of inventory space for some reason, go ahead and equip it and load it up with all your cloths. Now you have extra temporary space.

Too many clothes? Impossible! Keep rotating your clothing from house to bank (great because it is accesible from any bank on planet) to inventory. Get an extra small house or two for storage. While we are on the subject....150 items in a small and med house? Ridiculous! It was also mentioned before....keep a backpack (unequipped) when you JUST NEED the extra space. It is tacky to dance in! I have had to do this (I always apologize for my appearance when I must) when someone needs healing and I'm carrying extra items to and from the bazaar or harvesters.

Speaking of clothes....is there a sight where I can see all the available types of clothes, jewelry, headwear. Is there headwear that looks good for those of us who are not Twi'lek?

I didn't think of that. That's a good idea. It's a bit odd having backpacks hanging from the walls... but not as odd as having 100 clothing items

I just bought another house, and use it as part storage closet (back room) so I can lay allll my clothes out and see what I have. I rotate stuff in and out of the bank here as well. I have everything out,and organized by color.

I find it's help ful to have the exact same pieces in a variety of colors...kind of like Sultrina said. But I have a "set" of black, white, blue, green, and red of all my core pieces, and I can mix and match all of those. OK plus I have other fun stuff, too........

My core pieces? Revealing top, shorts, comfortable slacks, muscle Tshirt, light bustier, fashionably pleated skirt and decorative skirt or short skirt. The small bustiers are cute, too, and all of those mix and match well, so you can look like you have a lot more clothes than you have. If that makes sense.

I rotate a lot too.........buy new stuff, give old stuff away or sell it, lather rinse repeat.

being adopted as a newb dancer is fun, i remember the first time another dancer in group gave me a dress she no longer needed, and everyone else in the group told me how good it looked on me, waaaaaaay back in october.

then being able to do the same thing later for other dancers, oh that's such fun too.

i have two houses that are named some version of KMad's Closet and have only clothes in them. i head home from the cantina when i log in each day, and swap out what i wore yesterday for other stuff to wear today. with some exceptions (#1 being my 'mind buff dress' with the skill enhancing tape in it). and i do endorse the suggestion to carry a backpack with you, or at least keep one in the bank, so you can wear it when out shopping, etc.
