Thread: Dancing with other dancers

I have been a master dancer for about 5 months. I'm wondering if there're any plans to put in sync dancing (no I'm not talking about /bandflo 1-8) I'm wondering if the art team is intending to add a system. It would really add to the entertaining profession if I could share my skills with others
-Sync dancing
-Make it like a consent opiton *to prevent force dancing*
-Make new dances for it (make a real formal lmao)
-add unique flourishes for it
-Dancers should have to do the same flourish (otherwise it isn't quite exactly dancing with another person...)
I would love to see a Sync dancing system (dance invition?) It would greatly improve my entertaining experiance and make male dancers useful!!!

I think we are all hoping for information on this topic. Dancing in sync is awesome! Get half a dozen Master Dancers dancing in sync and you will really wow you audience. The bandflos arn't bad when they work (sigh) server lag can really deteriorate the timing/quality of the bandflows. Also getting the base step in sync is a little tricky. My fellow dancer Kirah and I use a little countdown macro to get in step

/gs 3;
/pause 2;
/gs GO
You start your dance on go (obviously /blush). After a little practice you can hit it most every time. Again some items will effect the sync, the evil Darth Lag (as mentioned before) targeting playes etc. So while I wait for content for our proffesion (maybe in vain**sniff** ) I try to work with what we have

Male dancers are VERY usful - we use Javier every chance we get! 
I'd like to see some dances make available for couples- tangos, waltz, jitterbug, etc. That would look awesome!

Again, aside from Band Flourish it would be very hard to do dancing along the lines of: Tango, Waltz etc- Basically partner dancing.
There are issues that occure between server and client computer that alreadymess up the lyrical/formal dances. And we've all seen the infamous "Force Butt Slide" and other strange hiccups that move your character over to Timbuktoo.
Trying to synchronize two different computers to the server would be hard enough- since they'd look pretty funny with those hiccups- like they are dancing in different rooms.
The only way I could see it possibly working is to take out any player control of the dance really and leave it serverside- treating the pair as one character. But who wouldcontrol the flourishes? Who would be considered the leader? Could only male/female couples work?
If Person A instigates flourish one and person B ususes two... which one would work? And what if person A uses a command that changes the way they face? (such as /smile or the 1 or 3 key on the number pad)
It would be difficult to pull off because of those issues, along with the lag/hiccup issues.
Besides. I've seen pleanty of concerts where only the men dance. Male dancers are already useful.

whew always good to know I can be useful... though it seems I am more useful when I am wearing next to nothing /sigh silly girls keep telling me I wear too much and I end up in hotpants again oh well
