Thread: why not have more breakdancing?

i remember when i first saw dancers/entertainers dancing in cantinas. i thought it was halairious when they popped-locked and moves like that. what would you guys say to dancers being able to do windmills and hardcore breakdance moves? i know it really doesn't have anything to do with starwars, but most people just grind entertainer profs anyway and ditch it. they could have breakdance "battles" instead of pvp fighting. it may sound stupid, but was just a thought. maybe even when you join a group you can do moves together(like 2-3 people at a time).

I'm not sure where you're coming from with the "most people just grind and ditch it" comment. Many of the posters in this forum have been dancers since launch and/or took months to level to master dancer. A lot of us still use all of our dances at times. Still, it's not necessarily a bad idea. 
The brawler forum had a thread not too long ago about having some kind of ent/brawler or unarmed/dance hybrid. One of the ideas mentioned was a performance display class (like a Martial Arts Exhibition). It led to talk of an Arena kind of class. Kind of a neat idea I think. This would be somewhat on the same lines, but less starwarsy as you said.
Of course, most ofour dancesare based on rl and not real Star Wars references per se (except for the exotics) I believe. Who knows, maybe the devs would be open to it. *shrug*
I don't think any kind of dance could really replace pvp, but some sort of game has been mentioned a few times. The "fame" idea is pretty popular in a lot of different variations.
Oh, and we can already do the same moves at the same time. We have /bandflo 1-8, we just can't change dance or start/stop in sync like Musicians can.

Breakdancing would be totally sweet, but there are two potential problems.
First problem: Breakdancing is incredibly fast and I get about an average of 5 FPS, I can just imagine what would would happen if there were 6 people doing it at the same time in our already laggy cantinas.
Second problem: All our heads would explode due to a 'you got served' overload.
