Just wanted to get the opinions of those of you on Starsider about how your cantina experience is going.

Is it all you wanted in a RP-sense?

Have you found a place where you're comfortable with the "crowd"?

....you can see I'm really interested in whether or not you "RPing shakers of the Bootay" are getting what you thought you'd get out of the profession on our server. Feedback is what I'm hoping for..constructive if we can keep it that way.

Biggest of all my questions I'd LOVE to ask but can't for lack of time is..."How's the involvement and feedback from your audience?" Has it turned into the Heal/rest/repeat grind or are you comfortable with how things are going?

...from an interested business man...Doaba tru.

I'm quite happy with those aspects of this prof. I've found a cantina where I enjoy dancing and the guys (and odd girl) seem friendly and nice. Some are very quiet but for the most part but there are a few I'm guaranteed to get lots of conversation out of. They seem to appreciate me there. At least no body's ever told me to leave! lol

There are definitely some jerks but I get those everywhere in rl so it just makes it more realistic.

May I ask why you are curious?

I find the public cantina to have fits and spurts in the RP department. I've met some awesome RPers in them, so I consider myself very lucky.

My character bio is on the /examine. I've found that it tends to spark RP. People will ask questions or stike up a conversation if they have something 'to go on'. I do the same. If someone new comes in, I'll have a look and see if they have a bio listed and chat with them about it. (If nothing else, I might shoot an OOC tell to someone and let them know that someone is actually atk and has read what they created.) I also try and interact with customers who look like they might interact back. A smile, a nod, or a thank you has started several friendships for me.

Since I'm a master dancer, I don't need dance or healing xp any more. If the cantina is dull or the RP doesn't suit me, I leave and find something else to do.

Thanks for asking and caring.

I've found the roleplay is pretty enjoyable, over in Kyu'mai, on Talus. We get all sorts - the serious musicians, the beautifully languid exotic dancers - male and female - the struggling newcomers...

Today was a definite roleplay first. We had a male exotic dancer - who shall remain nameless! He was getting a bit flirty with the audience. Being the silly group we are, we all chipped in for him to give one of the male patrons a lap dance. It turned into a game of poker, with "Hey, we'll pay you 5000 credits to go dance on that bothan guy's lap.." That Bothan Guy: "I'll see that tip and raise ya 2000 to go dance on that rodian guy's lap"...

It reached the point where our male dancer got a little reckless, and, well, IC, Ceyla had to chastise him for his behavior, because he was pretty close to being disemboweled by a population of very freaked-out men... <laughs>

It was fun, overall, even if it was weird. Even by my standards...

On another note, we are going to be putting up a casting call for a cabaret-type show, on the Starsider, Dancer, and Roleplay forums. If the initial show goes well, it's something Ceyla will be producing once or twice a month.

And Alecc... sounds like you might be getting into the dancing business? If so, I'm usually in Kyu'mai, on Talus, Starsider server

Come up and see me sometime.
