I seriously doubt I'm the first person to play this but I had a lot of fun doing it and helped me learn my flourishes better so I thought I'd share.
Dancer Says plays like Simon Says in that if the Dancer Says so you must copy the flourish they just did.
Now I started out trying mixing dances but we discovered we weren't that good at recognizing all the flos like that yet as wellas it was getting hard to see each other with the crowd we gathered at the starport. So we stuck to one dance and took turns at being "It". Doing random flourishes and having others try to mimic that flourish.
Was a whole lot of fun, I recommend giving it a whirl with your dancer friends!

This was loads of fun and I was surprised how challenging it was to figure out what Goldy was doing. Give it a try!

I've just finished developing my own Dancer Syllabus for the Sunrunner Academy of Performing Arts, where I have a "Dancer Says"activity to help mystudents learn and remember where flourishes are and what dances they are from!! **laughs** That's excellent, good to know you guys found it both fun as well as challenging ![]()

This is a great game, yes! I play it with new dancers I see in the cantinas all the time. Back when our band Talus Moon was still going strong, we would 'test' newcomers with the same game... also with the music flourishes.

I tried it with Aradia once long ago, back when I had fewer dances and there were less flourishes to recognize.
I can usually recognize which dance a flourish comes from, but remember whether it is #5 or #7 I often can't do, especially on dances I don't do often like rhythmic.

This sounds a great way to keep ATKs amused in the all too frequent quiet period in Theed cantina these days.
Last night we all sang each other our songs, but it was a shame there were no patrons to hear us.
