Eek! I love your ribbon! ![]()
I mean, I know it wouldn't be practical to give us full animation tools - but I'll take a ghetto low scale version. That's really what the ID interface is, a 3D modeling program with training wheels.
Some single player games let you record video as well as take screenshots now, so I'd love to see that too. In game movie houses? *drools*
Anyway, this Star Wars vidis what's got me babbling. I don't know if it's been posted before, but today was the first time I heard about MTV2's Video Mods show... and I think it's the coolest thing evah!!
This is my ultimate desire for Ent in this game, hehe.
If my character could dance like that, I'd be a dancer today. ![]()
I'm not sure if a tool that choreographed like that would fly or not. Entertainers in the past have been awfully picky about having beautiful, smooth animations. I recall when one of the older dances was given a "new" variation. Can't recall which one, but the reason it was "new" was that they took the older dance and then "modded" it to make the new one instead of doing new motion capture footage. The result was dancers complaining about the jerkiness of some of the moves and the oddity of the limbs not always fitting quite right.
Having control over the animation yourself, though, might make us more forgiving of any imperfections in the graphical presentation.

This game is filled with breathtaking imagery. You can see some of it in the Screenshots of the Day.
I always enjoyed the artwork I can hang in my home. The problem is, how many homes have "Mon Calamari Eye," because there is no real diversity of paintings?
What I would think would be splendid for Image Designers to have is a means to use the screenshots they take, and turn them into paintings (perhaps requiring canvases from the architecht) we could hang in our structures. That is real player created content that actually makes sense, and really starts to resemble an attempt at simulating an artist profession.
