Thread: Everyone Dancing in the Cantinas
I have taught players who have no dancing skills how to dance. I have learned how to string together emotes in an entertaining, and fun way. And I do the dances with them, too.
Rather than make attempts to give them skills they never wanted, why not teach them how to use the skills they already have? And most importantly, dotheir "non-dancer dances"with them.
That's a lovely idea, teaching someone how to be creative with /dance self, but how many would be bothered to learn? If they could just select an sp-free Basic and then have fun with the flourishes , I think that we would see a lot more fun in the cantinas.
Sadly all I can see is crafters rushing in asking for a buff and rushing out again without barely a 'hello, how are you?'. Which was exactly what was happening last night, apart from talk of dropping their alt's skills to get Ent profs for afk buff bots. ![]()

I don't know if anyone has ever had this Idea or not but.. How about granting dances to non dancers in the cantina? Like Basic, Poplock, Popular, Rhythmic... But only if there is a dancer in the cantina of that Level or Higher.
Yes, we have spoken about this elsewhere, I think every player should be able to do Basic. In a lot of other games players have dances, admittedly there are no Ent profs, as SWG is unique in this at the moment.
I have been playing Matrix Online (MXO) lately, along side SWG. There every player gets five dances and it makes parties much more fun when every one can dance. Bringing this idea into SWG would make the cantinas lot more lively for those who like to socialise. It would also be a bonus for RPers, how many people go to a party and don't dance? Not many in my RL social circle anyway.
